I has been reported that YW/ZJW will play the BAC. This is rather strange. It will be quite interesting if it is true.
is yang wei's shoulder better now? I hope they can lift a title soon this year, even the retirees are no pushovers I can watch the swiss open 2008 WDF over and over and over again without getting the slightest hint of boredom. These two are amazing!!!
Yang wei/zhang jiewen vs. Wei Yili/Gao Ling in the thailand open gold grand prix final! The battle of the semi-retirees! =P I hope that Yang Wei/Zhang jiewen can lift their first title of the year. all the best to them!
Congrats to Yang Wei and Zhang jiewen for winnning the Thailand Open! YW/ZJW then became runners-up to Du Jing/Yu Yang at the Macau open ( wonder if DJ/YY beat them fair and square or is it part of the agreement that they are allowed to play independently but not to beat the current China team when it comes to finals.. but YW/ZJW beat Wang SiYun/Zhang JinKang to a bloody pulp)
erm...idk about any conspiracy =P but YW/ZJW did lose a bit of their offensive games after their retirement...probably due to YW's shoulder(still? does anyone know?). They ALWAYS lift and defend now...and rarely attack...=( their game does lose a little color cuz of that...DJ/YY are powerful players and constantly defending might give the reigning Olympic champion some edge in games. but they are still my fave! lets js hope they can pick up their offensive game soon! they are in another semi final appearance, taipei open! lets hope they make it to the final and perhaps even lift another title for the year! wohoO!
i still have some video of classic YW/ZJW vs GL/HS match ups both pairs are really amazing.. yeah I hope they get into the finals together with GL/WYL
Congartulations to Yang Wei and Zhang JieWen for winning the Taipei Open!! I think this year will be the last year we will be seeing them together with Gao Ling and Wei YiLi. They are competiting for practice at the upcoming Chinese National Games. Sad. I'm gonna miss them... none of the young guns from China has really impressed me so far.
