I didn't watch the matches because of work committment, but, congrats to Nova Widianto/Lilyana Natsir and Markis Kido/Hendra Setiawan on their victories today.

As long as Nova is not making too many mistakes, this pair should be the favorite for gold medal in Doha.

For Kido/Hendra, I hope they maintain their consistency and perform their best in Doha. They should be in contention for the medals.

Chen Yu is good, but probably his situation is like Zhang Ning in WS. Too many competition.

Chen Yu is the same generation as Chen Hong. But at that time China had Sun Jun, Dong Jiong, Chen Hong and then CY. After SJ and DJ retired, suddenly come the talented Xia Xuan Ze and a suprise Olympic gold medal Jie Xin Peng. After JXP retired early, suddenly come Lin Dan and Bao Chunlai. And then Chen Jin.

Chen Yu probably improved with time and experience and very suited for 21 scoring. But if he wanted to be LYB first choice, he had started to win against non China players.

Although he won against LCW twice, but he still lost to Taufik, Peter Gade and Boonsak this year.

If only he played at other country than China, he will probably be the first choice and not the fifth choice. :(

Can he patient enough as Zhang Ning to wait his chance to shine? Remember that ZN play China national team since she was 16 or 17 and had to wait about 10 years to be LYB first choice.

Chen Yu definatly has the best crosscourt net shots in the circuit!!!! I love how this guy exploit the 4 corners of the court to screw up his opponents haha:)
