Rian-Yoke lost 18-21, 21-16, 11-21 to Boe-Morgensen in the Italy Challenge final... Yeaaaahh we kinda know that this Danish pair is difficult to beat. This rubber set result is better than the straight set loss in Taipei... So, I guess Rian-Yoke will finish the year as number world number 24-25...
Rian Sukmawan/Yonathan Suryatama Dasuki end the year at no 22 in the World Ranking. This makes them more than eligible for the main draws in BOTH the Malaysia and Korea Super Series 2008. A couple of wins in both events will see their ranking even go further up to the top 16-20. Who knows...maybe they are even eligible to qualify for the Olympics 2008, as both Luluk Hadiyanto/Alvent Yulianto and Hendra A. Gunawan/Joko Riyadi are both inconsistent
wow.. nothing happened in this thread for one month.. no tournament going on huh.. anyway, rian-yoke skipped malaysia and korea open, but will be going to all england and swiss open! jia youuuuu!!! pray pray pray... all the best.
Apparently, Rian suffered from a heavy bout of flu one week before the Malaysia Open, so, they withdrew :crying: All-England and Swiss Opens will pose stern tests to them. A couple of wins will be needed to consolidate their position in the top 20 and hopefully advance to the top 15.
Swiss Open is cancelled for them.. Going to Singapore for sparring in mid February.. I think from Feb. 11th. Then to German Open in Mülheim.
Can you give us the detailed scores? We are eagerly awaiting Rian/Yoke first competitive match in 2 mths now
Come on Mr Sukmawan and Mr Dasuki....have to do better than this....they have to win against more top pairs....to start with the Japanese pairs hohohoho So Yannie...pray hard ya......especially for Mr. Sukmawan who knows his smash will get harder
Rian-Yoke vs. Singapore From the Singaporean National Team vs. PB. Djarum... 1st Duel Rian-Yoke vs. Hendra-Ken Tiek 17-21, 21-15, 21-16 Fran-Rendra vs. Chayut-Dhanny 21-18, 21-13 2nd Duel Rian-Yoke vs. Kendrick-Ken Tiek 21-17, 21-13 Fran-Rendra vs. Hendra-Ronald Susilo 21-16, 21-15 Don't ask me about the dates of these clashes... and apparently, the Singaporean team experimented with all sorts of combinations... Kendrick and Ronald in doubles? They have to be very desperate or something...
Maybe Hendri/Hendra are not working out?? Looking at the results, Hendra/Khian Teck seems to be a good combination?
Saw some pics from Dutch Open 2006.. yeah.. a long time ago.. Rian Sukmawan-Eng Hian vs Tan Bin Shen-Ong Soon Hock
Here is a video of the Dutch Open Final 2007 in Almere. Mins: 04:58 - 07:14 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8pt8oRYz5Qo And a pic...
Hmm, not sure.. I think they are from the INA press.. Maybe someone who went to Dutch Open can answer this..
