Remember reading a long time ago that for Men's singles, there is an arrangement with Danish badminton association fro China to send at least one top singles player to the torunament. This time, there are only two. It seems that Chen Gang/Zhuweilun play in Europe now.
Well done CHAN/CHEW!! Chan Chong Ming and Chew Chun Eng defeated the number 3 seeds Eng Hian and Limpele in the Danish Open Q\F. I hope they will go all the way to the finals. I wished Park Joo Bong was there to see that, I think he would have been happy. But lets hope the duo will go all the way.
That's a very good victory for Chan and Chew considering the recent form of Eng Hian and Flandy. Don't they still have to get past Kim/Ha?
With this victory, Chan/Chew have broken the curse by all their jinxes. After losing 4 times each to Candra/Sigit and Flandy/Eng Hian, in less than a month's time, Chan/Chew beat Candra/Sigit finally in their 5th encounter in Busan, and now Flandy/Eng Hian in Denmark. Woohoo!! These victories will be huge confidence boosters for Chan/Chew, something which they've been lacking all along. So now their isn't a pair whereby they have not beaten. If they meet Kim/Ha, it'll be in the final.

Regardless of the results tomorrow, this tournament is their second best achievement in Chan/Chew's career. Apart from their Japan Open victory, they have not qualified for any finals in the professional circuit! Put their Commonwealth victory aside, considering it's field quality is rather low.

Way to go Chan/Chew. I knew they had it in them. Couldn't believe my eyes as I just got off a plane from UK to US because the last I saw, they already lost the first set. Chan/Chew have the quality in them to be among the best in the world, but they just lack consistency. What they need to do tomorrow is to take the fight to Ha/Kim and not let the Korean's reputation disrupt their confidence and concentration. Chew needs to be very good at the net and Chan has to mix up his attack for that to happen, but most importantly, they have to reduce the unforced errors.

Well, it's been tough matches along the way. And they said they were tired too, and aching all over before the match. Kim/Ha on the other hand, had been thrashing their opponents all the way. Well done nonetheless!! Haha, seems like Kim DM is really the man to beat. Yet another 2 titles at a tournament. Ra Kyung Min, Lee Kyung Won, Hwang Yu Mi, whoever his partner may be, he has won it all. Wow.
It's not surprising to hear that though. Imagine having to be at top gear for the past week, and all their opponents were tough ones as well, especially the previous two. Also, it must have been menatlly draining as well to beat two world class pairs in a row (one in front of the home crowd). Asking them to beat Ha/Kim is a bit too much. Anyway, well done to both pairs. Kim Dong Moon has proven that he is the Park Joo Bong of this generation.
