..i'm not sure if this will be WYH's last tourney under the national team flag for this yr; no confirmation from master LYB on her status mentioning otherwise..

If so, it will be really ironic. No 1 in the world but no place for her in the national team

..i'm sure she's still in. We're referring of her possibility to still compete or not compete in the upcoming international tourneys under the national team flag, at least for the rest of this yr..

Even if she doesn't play for China, she will still have the lifestyle most of us can only dream of. Touring the world doing her favourite sport, plus all the benefits of the rest and recreation that comes with it. I shouldn't be feeling so sympathetic for her plight

..the part in bold, i think she can still do all those because she is still in the CHN team and playing for them. I doubt she could get the same type of "lifestyle" or "dream life" if she were to play for another country...Notice ZL and ZM, once they're out of the CHN team, where have their careers gone??..

I meant the elite team. Those who play in the Uber and Sudirman Cups, as well as the Olympics and the Asian Games. She will probably still be ranked in the top 15? in this current form, so she'll still be playing in the BWF tournaments as an individual. As such, she will still keep her "dream life". It's just that she'll now be a 'has been' or 'once was', something she may not be able to swallow. But I strongly believe that she'll make a dramatic comeback

..being in the elite team doesn't mean one can make the Olympics or AG or UC or even the Sudirman Cup squad; it's tough and supposedly LYB has certain favoritism toward certain WS players (CHN got WYH, WL, JYJ, WX, WSX and they all got to fight to be in those team events as i don't think all of them get selected every time). I also don't think, despite WYH's current struggle, WYH will be a "has been" or "once was" as we don't know what will be LYB's plan for her from here on out. She's also young (has age on her side). I also feel LYB will probably still depend on her, now with WL (another one of his fave WS players) out til next yr..that's why my response to Thom_bad's post..

The pics are really good. Thanks for the uploads. PHY doesn't look so determined anymore. No wonder she lost

WYH will be back a la WL. Thanks Chris for reminding us of the WL situation. WYH is still young and can retool her game. Lots of hard work ahead but lots of rewards await.
