Agree with this. TH's change in tactics was quite conspicuous, and it's a shame LCW didn't step it up when it was clear TH couldn't keep up with him at higher speeds. TH played a great game. Agreed with this too. He should learn to lose more gracefully - but I guess with the colossal expectations he must have felt he needed to give some sort of an excuse. It may be true he really was injured, but boy did he come out looking like a sore loser saying he picked up the injury while playing against someone he completely dominated (Ouseph). I hope he doesn't make this a habit, like Roger 'I-lost-because-I-had-a-cold-not-because-my-opponent-kicked-my-ass' Federer.
please do not challenge our mighty datuk! he lost to that indon was becoz of injury. otherwise, taufik will get a lynching.
..indra, welcome back! long time haven't seen you posting so positive!.. Btw, (from the video) TH said it simply "playing with no pressure. nothing to lose"...
taufik done good enuff to out class our datuk...lcw totally lost confident after a few errors after mid game interval....i would say, taufik was determine, tactically better than lcw though lcw was better in terms of stamina...what to say, bravo to taufik, and thank both of them for showing us a good game and great gamemanship towards the end. thanks all ina fans for adding spice to the forum, without your presence here, there will be no fun... peace....
I think Chong Wei was injured. I can't remember him making lame excuses on prior occasions. And, LCW basically said any match between him and Taufik is 50-50 (despite having won constantly for the past few years). He said it was only towards the end the injury was a factor. Credit and respect to Taufik for a good win, the first set was definitely earned. He might well have won the decider anyway. At the moment I have a back problem myself - the main problem with picking up the injury in a game is it's another 'uncertainty' (shall I compensate with my shots? ) Think LCW made a bad choice: started 'forcing', being over agressive and trying to end points quickly, trying to turn the 3 points into a 5 or six point margin, this let Taufik know there was some hope. With a back problem, its tempting to go 'win this as quickly as possible' (while it hurts, but before the muscles sieze up and restrict movement) But respect to Taufik. That performance was good enough to beat anyone. LCW was a good level for most of the match, but i agree the first set was as good as I've seen from anyone. He seems to be getting his fitness back. And I like his interview, very humble and funny too! I want him to win the tournament, and a Taufik/Gade final would be best, they are very evenly matched.
I think that person is a LCW hater, he only post when LCW lose(to virtually anyone). Guess that make him look like a LD's fans as LCW got defeated by LD more. However I don't see him saying anything when LD won against others. Some people live to hate, just let it be.
