I don't know why indonesia local television (NOT cable tv) doesn't show it. If it's football event, our local tv absolutely will show it. Eventhough indonesia doesn't participate. So sad..

Anyone else can confirm if GDTV or ShanghaiTV will be broadcasting the Semifinals matches??..eaglehelang, you seem to be the expert--mind sharing your inside infos or expertise??..:);)
i have a feeling CCTV5 probably will not show them as there are no CHN players..

Hiyaaa, I'm no expert. Just so happen I was watching Day 1 matches on GD Sports, they made the announcement. Apparently, those who watched said GD SPorts didnt show live for yesterday afternoon.

As for today's Semi, the info below is copies from Klasse's blog, he's the expert in gathering such info :D. Live stream will be from GD SPorts, Shanghai Sports, BTV6 , take your pick :

I'm pretty sure CCTV-5 has nothing. Definitely nothing today. I think this is tomorrow's schedule and it has nothing, either.

GDTV's schedule is just the way Klasse's website says it is.

Shanghai Sports is again just the way Klasse says except that it looks like finals coverage has been cut to just over an hour. If I am correct and this is the Shanghai Sports schedule for tomorrow, the coverage of this badminton event, in which it just so happens no Chinese players are playing, will get cut off after 1h20min, at 15:15, so that the Shanghai residents can see this soccer event (卫星[IMG]:2008国际足联俱乐部世界杯三、四名), in which no Chinese players have ever played.

The other difference is that Klass has a mistake, saying that Shanghai will be showing this evening 21:45~21:00. That should be 19:45~21:00. That means that you can watch Shanghai Sports from 19:45~21:00, then wait half an hour for Guangdong's 4.5h of coverage to start. I doubt any of that will be live, though.

As for BTV-6, I couldn't get it to come up last night at all. It sat there buffering for over half an hour and never did show me anything, badminton or otherwise.

As for WOB, their website says this about the USA:

    USA:
There are restrictions on all Super series events. All other events and programs are available in the territory of USA.

For further information about territorial limitations or what is available on WOB.tv, please send an email to: support@wob.tv

I emailed for info about Korea, hoping the last-minute nature of the Finals might have meant that SBS didn't have a contract for it yet but I was told I couldn't see it. In the Korean case, SBS having a contract with IEC means that they can effectively block live coverage in Korea - even me paying for it over the Internet - so that they can show 2h of coverage a month from now with only the matches involving Korean players. And they'll show it from 9-11 on a weekday morning, sandwiched between 9-ball pool and Kang Ho-dong's variety talent show or some other non-sports broadcast. And if a match lasts only 40 minutes, they'll use the extra 20 minutes to show baseball highlights. So frustrating.
