It's wonderful to hear that you're going to abide by your doctor's advice.
All the best for your recovery.

Do keep us posted how it goes :)

do any one of you have had the ACL reconstruction and playing again with full strength as post injury.

So it sounds like you had the double bundle ACL reconstruction. Should take you 6 months to get into shape.

Those rarely fail if done properly. Wish you well in your rehab.

Closest possibility to "play" would be WII. Watch some matches on youtube for the moment. Here is one:

    http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=HQl6aYCURIU&feature=PlayList&p=E5B4E7A10AA4C0D2&index=6

Read strategies and build your mental state. Wish you all the best and a fast recovery (remember and always follow your doctor's advice.) If you still have any pain or stiffness, consult your doctor; don't start unless you are pain free. The recovery phase is the most crucial part!

You should be thinking ahead to the post-recovery period.
Think about what aspects of your game you will work on.
That will give you a goal to work towards :)

In the meantime, check out these very informative websites:

    1. The Mayo Clinic
    2. The University of Missouri-Columbia

It's good to ask for information from those who have had ACL problems earlier... but, if I were you, I would NOT rely on someone else's story to decide my rehabilitative course.

Leave that to the person who knows your problem better than anyone here... your doctor.

All the best... and here's wishing you a speedy recovery :)

    Recovery from ACL Injury.

    Hello All,

It would be great if any of the players who had ACL surgery reply the following.

1.How many months of Rehabilitation was done before returning to the court.
2.Were u able to play to the level of preinjury.

I'm bit scared to go to the court.but cant assume to live without playing.
hence need to take all care before playing again.
