What a way to start a new year for badminton for Indonesia. Krisna's examples is very valid.. and the problem is that it is a common thing happens not only in Indonesia.. but other countries as well.

IMO, Hendra would make a good partnership with any strong smashers of INA. Strong attackers are abundant anywhere. Every top-players can make good jump-smashes that's no problem and do not bring in any advantage. The most difficult part in badminton is control at front-net. Hendra is SUPER in that aspect. He can match with any good attackers. In fact, Kido made many mistakes especially at front-net. :)

I think this has been mentioned before but one of the silver lining from all these development is the fact that the path is beginning to open for many INA shuttlers to become full professional. The opportunity and sponsorship is there, which is still not possible in many country (lack of sponsorship, uncooperative/dictatorship national association, etc, etc, etc)

    Kido / Taufik Hidayat

Taufik and Kido quit the national training center...

I guess it would be a nice and powerful combination if they pair up...

Taufik in front controlling the birdy while Kido at the back jumping and smashing....why don't they try? ....

Maybe Taufik should play at the back :D
If not, his backhand skills would be wasted.

He also has the required big-bang smash.
He is on record at 305 kph smash, isn't he?

The trouble is: the record was set quite a while back.
    And, continuous smashing?
That's simply not on for today's Taufik

But if he doesnt' have to go to the front, and just move side by side, he should be ok :D:D.

TH actually is a pretty good double's player. The problem, it'll take a special kind of person to deal with his character...
Besides, its really doubtful he would relegate himself to playing double. :p

It will definitely be good for Singapore if we can entice more world class players to boost the already depleted Singapore team and provide a quick start to teaching our youngsters. But I doubt the present SBA Administration is prepared to change tack for the time being.

I am now suffering from something like a "withdrawal symptom" as far as the Singapore team goes and have given up all hopes on them for the next few years unless something dramatic happens, like the PBSI shakeup! :crying:

So I'm suffering in silence when Tommy of London continued to bash Kendrick Lee & Co. :( :D:D:D

Loh is suffering from "withdrawal symptom" ???

    .
Yes ... With TH and MK resigning from PBSI, perhaps you could get them to represent clubs in Singapore.

But when it comes to representing their nation, I doubt that TH and MK would abandon INA.

    :):):)

Oh thank you for your suggestion but I know neither TH nor MK and the SBA Admin. And of course KLRC has the signature of TH already.

You are right, TH has announced he will not play for any country other than INA, a quality which we did not realize TH has all this while! ;)

The bad news for Kido and his siblings that their club, Jaya Raya still supports PBSI and balmed Kido for being too emotional....Greysia/Nitya signed the contract at last as well as Ahsan, Rian/Yoke.....

What is the real issue? Is it money-related?

Hi Indra..you have to read all pages...basically Kido/Hendra got a bit increase, in term of money, But Kido walked out as his siblings asked too much money from PBSI even Pia, dared to ask more money than Maria Kristin...conclusion, Kido tried to threaten PBSI.." if you do not increase my sibllings'request, I am out from Pelatnas.."..

Wow...I guess his siblings are making a blunder....In this global financial crisis like now, they [siblings] should have been more wise in dealing with money-related issues.

hmm..let's see, it could be better, if no one talk about the contracts between each other, I mean let just the player and PBSI self knows about the contracts. So there's will be no "they've got more money than me eventhough they're still junior, etc". Just like in a company where the employees are not allowed to talk about their salary between them

    Hmm..

..they're only engaged; the news was mentioned not too long ago in BC..
..well, unfortunately corruption happens everywhere, even to developed countries, as no country is immune to it, however small it may seem. But yes, some countries tend to have a more transparent judicial system than other countries which have a more questionable judicial system.
