    dude,ask yourself this:why did u even buy this racket in the first place?u must have a good arm and wrist strenght to handle it..the way i see it?u should have strung at atleast 28lbs in order to generate the magic power of it.25lbs is way too low for you i guess..thats why u couldnt feel the power.and try bg66 instead.good luck!!:)

    Stiffness of X3 Gold

    Is X3 Gold really _that_ stiff and hard to handle? I'm using an X3 Silver but it's a bit too flexible for me. Thinking of switching to X3 Gold.. :rolleyes: Stiffness-wise, can it be compared to AT900P? ArcS10? AT700? RSL X2 FP?

    thanks.

    after a few play, i have get use to the strength..very powerful smash but shuttle out easily at the back of court ==> hard to control the strength...

    When I have the fullest strength. will use the X3Gold. When energy drops to 60%, will switch to X3Silver. When beginning of struggling, will use the 9900 like a whip. All my shots remain the same as offensive as well as defensive.

    They all work quite well for me........

    So, can you have more details on between x3 gold and silver.

    Somebody said they are around the same weight at 89-90g, and I think they are both head heavy rackets. So, there are two questions left:
    1st, which one is head heavier
    2nd, how is the stiffness of the shaft compare to each other

    Thanks!

    From the specification chart provided in RSL website, seem that those X3 are not as stiff as X2 rackets(with extra stiff).

    X3 Silver is certainly not head heavy. With the over-grip, it even feels like head light to me.

    With this property, X3 Silver feels very light to me.. feels like a borderline 3U to 4U racket.

    It's kinda flexible as well -- even more so than X2 FP. I know that X3 Gold is stiffer, but I'm really interested to know how stiff it really is, i mean, compared to FP, or YY rackets such as Arm900P/ Nano9kX..

    Gold has the straight shaft whilst Silver has Tapered Shaft. Thus, Silver Head would flex more than Gold. 2009 range classified as 3U are around same weight, no expectation of heavier/lighter. To be head heavy/light, Ori grip has to be removed/remains at your choice. Would say Silver more less like X2Blue, its an even balance & slightly lighter.

    Glad to know! Thanks!
    I used x2 blue to play double since last May, love it all the time. Seems it is the time to move on to x3 silver... :)

    So, we can say,
    basically, x2 Gold ---> x3 Gold
    x2 Blue ---> x3 Silver

    cwzkevin: In terms of weight: X2Gold---X3Gold---X2Blue---X3Silver.
    A real weight test: X3Gold,Silver,X2Blue has same weight (more/less 2g max)
    Shaft Stiffness: X2Gold--X3Gold--X2Blue--X3Silver (would say Blue&Silver are same too)

    I have create a virtual rsl racket testing with all the RSL racket info input and let the AI do the math.....then the result would imply into Nitendo Wii, so I could test out some of the RSL racket by using the flying remote control. Dont worry, i neva fly out my control towards the screen.

    Guys! I've just bought the 9500 heat series 2 days ago and had 2 sessions already and this is by far the best rsl series i've tried!! i owned 7160,7320,8800,X2 blue and also tried out other different rsl models from my friend including X2 gold but still none of these could beat 9500.i am a very hard smasher and my smashing was just UNBELIVEABLE and POWERFUL especially this 2 days after i switched to 9500.i thought it was just because of my good form the 1st day but my smashing just got even better and alot faster the 2nd day! btw it was stung at 32lbs with bg66.no worries guys,our RSL rackets are alot tougher than we thought.RSL 4EVER!!

    Yep.i've tried both X3 series.both strung at 30lbs bg66.its my friend's.X3 gold feels just like X2 gold except its lighther and as for X3 silver it feels like my 7160!! I had this experiment by blindfold myself then feel this 2 racket by hitting shuttlecock and i couldt tell which are which??!! but after all its just my own preference,who knows the X3 gold or silver might be the right one for you..you just need to try it out by your own and go with your own feelin'.it worked 4 me this way..take your time buddy and good luck
