What would you look for in a badminton academy ? Coaching technique ? The coach himself/herself (Is ex-international player a selection criteria)? Facilities in the academy?

Coach is most important - less if he was an international player himself but I would look more at his achievements as a coach.
Second is probably the sparring partner - see if the academy offers you a sparring partner who is above your level
facilities and all the rest is really just 'cosmetics' ...

Coach is the most important. But I also look at the quality of the other players in the academy in terms of ability and I also look at there attitude to training. Theres nothing worse then training with those who can't be bothered.

Yes , Coach is defintly most important!

I wouldn't mind if they were a not an international player , as long as they were a good player.

Rerember some international players , arn't good coaches.

Then , I would preferrably want better/the same level players. I would also want to be pushed , whilst training.
