    Since it's almost off..

..and since everyone is protesting for George to put up a pic of his toe nail's current condition, how about if George put up a pic of his newly grown toe nail??..

    Ouch,

had similar thing happen to me too... I agree much with everyone's advice:

    to treat:
    - keep dry
    - wear sandals? whenever you can to keep it dry
    - don't take off the whole nail... only cut whatever is normally too long
    - there are ointments to prevent fungi from growing, etc.
    - check with a doctor!

    for future reference:
    - Make sure ur shoe is comfortable
    - Cut ur nails! not too short tho because other injuries can come from that as well.
    - wear good socks... thick sport socks preferably
    - Also.. maybe check with a coach to see if you can adapt your footwork to put less pressure on your toes?... I didn't check with a coach when I started playing with the recovering toe; I just changed and adapted my footwork myself to put less pressure on my toes. I discovered another plus I hadn't intended! Greater balance and speed on my feet... :D
