Haha, the Shanghai Sports centre still has the old IBF logo in the background. Don't they know the badminton world has moved on?

Congratz for MJ/WXL, this is their 1st SS title in WD, rite?
Maeda/Suetsuna also perform good show today, it was really close
Too bad today ain't their day, another SS runner-up podium finish for them
Wonder what'll happened had they win this match?
It must be really sentimental moment for them,
But i guess they're still quite happy with this result
Better luck next time :) :)

which KOR pair?? LHJ & LKW??..if so, then that's not a surprise. Reaching the SF round in an OG event, in China of all places, must be considered pretty good, isn't it??

The OG MS champs all dressed in black w/red chevron on one side of their attire.
Their compatriots all dressed in white top and black shorts..

    A close affair so far...all knotted @ 8 a piece..

Mas team was in the limelight but came out empty handed.
Ind team make japan open their own but only one gold.
China team was under the radar but what results 3 golds.

so far not an interesting 1st game..not many good rallies..even the commentators aren't commentating much...
OG champs secure 1st game in 11 minutes..

Well, they sent quite a stacked WS team actually... WL, WYH, WX, JYJ. Hardly under the radar for this category

    Too bad for MAS
IND didn't get any medal at all, it is INA who get one gold,
yeah unfortunately INA glory days end in SF :(
CHN didn't send their best team, indeed. But calling them under the radar is a bit understatement, IMO :) :)
Esp. for their WS squad

OG champs rallied in the 2nd game to secure a straight games win. 2nd game was a bit more eventful...last match of the day is up next..
In last yr's OG, Maeda & Suetsuna came in as underdogs vs. ZJW & YW. Yet they surprised everyone (i thought they had the momentum after they won the 2nd game and the CHN pair seemed to be taxed & tired in the 3rd game). When i was there, even after they had defeated the CHN pair, i didn't think they would go very far because they had to play LKW & LHJ in the next round. But despite the loss with the final scoreline of 22-20 & 21-16 in the Semis, it showed that they are really a pair not to be overlooked. Today, they ran into a more youthful CHN pair than the one they faced last yr.
