I was able to get a look at the new MP 90 last night when one of the advanced orders came into my friends shop. It wasn`t strung so I couldn`t have a hit with it ( plus someone else ordered the racquet so I couldn`t really have a look at it that much ). First impressions were that it`s a nice racquet - the 3U model felt very balanced and had enough weight to probably be stable when hitting. I would still opt for a 2U model though. It`s also a slim design throughout and the paint job is pretty cool I thought. Feels like a very solid racquet which is still easy to manouvere - you don`t notice the fact that it`s a "Long" racquet unlike some other MP racquets ( especially the MP70!!). Hope to get one at the start of May and try it out!
If I can recall, someone told me that with all expenses included, it should costs a little bit over $300CDN... Lets hope that it's worth it!!...
Hey, don't just decide that you don't like it just be seeing the photo. You never know until you see the real deal. I have a feeling that Yo's Sports will have a MP90 for people to view once it is released in HK, if they haven't already. Last time I went to Yo's, like a month ago. I had a chance to see the Cab20 Muscle...
Hi Zero, Just curious how much are they selling the Carb 20 MP ?? Its SG$115 at the shops here ( Singapore) without the strings. Which is about CN$95.83 No news as of when the MP-90 will appear here yet ....
Well, the guy quoted me at $170CDN, but it was just released a few weeks. I'm not sure what the price is now. But the racquet was SP I think!!...not that SP is bad. I recall as I was surfing through the net, I saw some retail store selling it for $99.99US. And it's an US version!!!
Cdn$170~US$110! and it's an SP which is not covered under Yonex Canada warranty. Wonder how the retailer managed to get the racquets in? Is the retailer an authorized Yonex dealer?
HE is an authorized Yonex dealer. But he also sells SP versions, maybe because he can make more profit that way. About the owner getting the Cab20 Muscle, I'm not too sure about that.
Most of them do... Most badminton shops that sell CD versions will sell SP versions. They(Lee's and Yo's) have suppliers in HK which can get them the SP versions quite cheap. Import them over to Canada and sell below CD version prices to make a good profit.
i think there was a glitch, either on the system or on my pc. i posted this response on another thread and i certainly did not go to the last few pages of this section to pick out an old thread. anyways, just forget it. haha.
