The YOG Trial entry form is available on USAB site, the deadline is 9/30/09:

    http://www.usabadminton.org/event/event/2395

The U19 JIT entry is also available on USAB site, the deadline is 10/15/09:

We need two tournaments because the age requirements are different for the two events. YOG Trial requires that players are US citizens borned between January 1, 1992 and December 31, 1993. For U19 JIT, it only requires that players are US citizens under the age of 19 years old as of December 31, 2010.

Starting with these trial events, the $100 deposit will be collected with the $80 entry fee when sending in the entry form. Separate checks need to be written for the refund purpose. There is also a optional training camp which might be cancelled if not enough participants.

Today I went to the gym to hit with a friend and realized they were doing YOG matches. I hit for a little bit on the open courts but also watched a couple matches. There was on young boy who had a TERRIBLE attitude and very poor sportsmanship. There was one instance where after losing a point he stepped on the shuttle (which appeared to be in good condition) and after losing the match he threw his racket, not at the ground, but into the net no less then 2 feet from the umpire!!! This kid had serious temper issues, and it made me wonder if there was any rule about sportsmanship, because this kid clearly didnt have any.

There's nothing the umpire can do if it's after the match I think. During the match, the player should have been given a yellow card (warning).
