Hey guys, just wondering whats the maximum tension for arcsaber z slash? Of course im no pro that strings their rackets up to 34, but for me, my favorite tension that im comfortable playing with is 27 with bg66. (i know it breaks easily so you dont need to comment on that ) I hope at 27, it wont make the racket frame cave in like my previous at900t did. Thanks!
Can i ask you a short question? I currently play with At900T but i might buy a z-slash, are they comparable, cuz everything i read, i see that the type racket is about the same but de Z is just better in nearly every department, is this right?
Arcsaber Z-Slash I think the only person who can answer this question is yourself after your trying Z-Slash. For me, even though finding AT900T excellent I stay with Z-Slash after trying both. But if you decide to play with Z-Slash I strongly recommend you to play with 2U as you will get more feels with it rather than 3U. Cheers!
hey dookie for me, im more of an offensive player, and after switching from at900t to arc z, there was a massive improvement in my game (for me at least). effortless clears, lifts etc. and my smashes are a hell lot better now but for the at900t, its good for net game i guess, but now adays, when we play doubles we tend to smash every chance we get, so imho, buy head heavy, offensive rackets instead. The more you play with those kinda racket, you definitely will improve on your net game anyway. If you do get the arc z and it doesnt feel right, you will just have to get used to it i guess. for me, i love it alot more than the at900t
haha im no pro. but if i see like a simple dent/chip/scratch on my rackets, my heart hurts. hahahahah
No, the Z's sweetspot is smaller like an Ovals, and overall it's not as forgiving if you're having an off day. The Z is more towards even-balance than the AT900T and is noticeably quicker through the air. The Z has a small power advantage. I'd say if you play more singles then the Z might be a better choice, but in terms of versatility, I reckon it's hard to beat the AT900T as an all-round racket.
I think it really comes down to how well you adapt to the Arc Z. Obviously the learning curve of this racket is like no other, and as many has said, the sweet spot as well as the overall head is smaller. IMO, if you are able to adapt to the Arc Z and get a hold of it, I would rate it above the AT900T.
Looking forward to getting reacquainted with my Z after the Christmas break. I'm probably back to square one. Stupid knee.
BG-68Ti!!! Yeah generally 0.66mm strings break quite fast unless you don't mind re-stringing it often.
After stringing my own Arc Z is was very impressed with how little the frame deformed - I would be confident stringing it up to 30 lbs. Having said this, though, the 2 /10 o'clock area, with its 4 pairs of single-pass holes, might not stand up to mis-hits as well as that of other rackets...
