Since u prompted for some answers, here are some: 1. U guys care too much on what LD or chow u ban/chow har gow/chow hi band said on insignificant news but forgot what LD really said in past AE, WC and OG (i kick your a$$). Yes, chris-ccc, communist china had adopted your no abuse, be nice and tell all policy. U should recheck your pc for trojans and worms, your pc problem may be due to hacking by the chinese lol. 2. If china team/gov't manages chinese player's winning prizes and sponsorship $, u think LD registered each tounament? lol, u guys are too naive or too funny. 3. How do u know 'for sure' lcw is in top form? U judge lcw's form from newspaper and LD's tv observation? LOL. Sure he won KO matches in 2 sets but why dont u ask if his opponents were in poor form? A little buttering up of lcw and the boleh fans are jumping and sliding all over
Blowing this whole LD interview out of proportion??.. ..it depends what kind of tourney, SS or lesser. If i recall, back in 2007 (yes, it's been a while), LD won 2 consecutive tourneys (back to back weeks), 1 SS & 1 GP (YONEX ALL ENGLAND SUPER SERIES & YONEX GERMAN OPEN). ..don't tell that to our OTB...he's willing to bet on a couple of double-cheese Carls' Jr. hamburger LD will win the 2012 OG.. ..personally, i don't think LD said that because he "fears" DLCW but more out of respect. I guess we'll all see how afraid LD is, come this AE.
BCers are always wanting to add more to what was said by players in their interviews . BCers are always wanting to add more to what was replied by players in their interviews. On why Lin Dan withdrew from the 2010 Malaysian Open, he said that he wanted to train harder and regain tip-top form before going to Kuala Lumpur to compete in the tournament. “But I have not adjusted to the best of condition. If I go for competitions in a hurry, I will not only be unable to play to my best ability but I will also risk getting injured,” he said. In other words, Lin Dan just said that he wasn't ready to attend the 2010 Malaysian Open. Although, he also added that he realised that Lee Chong Wei is now really in great form. We can ask Lin Dan questions, but we cannot answer the questions for him. If any interviewer were to ask LD - "Are you afraid of Lee Chong Wei?", LD would probably smile, raise his hands up and walk away; without answering that question. Such a question from an interviewer to any competitor - "Are you afraid of your opponent(s)?" could be taken as an insult directed to the interviewee. .
Please do not put negative words in Lin Dan's mouth . That is expected. As long as we fans do not put negative words in Lin Dan's mouth, Lin Dan should not feel offended. .
Hmmm, is the stadium still leaking water? This is my 1st time going to the stadium tomorrow (Sat), and I was told to bring along an UMBRELLA because of leaking water inside stadium
It makes perfect sense for Lin Dan to skip the MO if he's not in the top form as he has a lot to lose if he's beaten by players with lesser statue then him. I am sure Lin Dan's sponsors don't want to see the "Super Dan" image tarnish either, at least right now we still think Lin Dan is unbeatable ... Lin Dan better deliver during All England else his market value will drop tremendously ...
Actually I have no problem if BCers post to express their anger or disappointment. Everyone is entitled to his/her own opinion. Just don't speak for someone else.
Sorry to pitch in so late on LD participation. 1) When I 1st heard that LD is playing in MO in Dec 09, I was extremely pleased because I anticipate great matches who ever plays against LD. 2) When I 2nd heard most of the top players have registered to play in MO in Dec 09, I immediate start sourcing how to fly into KL, and how to book my badm tickets early. 3) When I 2nd lastly heard that some of the top Indonesian players are not playing in MO, I was kind of disappointed. 4) When I lastly heard that LD is not playing in MO . . . . . Life Goes On. Be Cheery & happy, life is not very long but stressing ourself (& brain) will make us look older and grow more winkles.
Feathers will be ruffled Like a heavyweight boxer, you got your opponent hanging on the ropes Your point #3 is simply classic.
LD is AFRAID of LCW..... come on kids... Perhaps thats not the right word to use if you guys want to have a healthy conversation.
I think if LCW cornered LD into a dark alley with a machine gun and an evil grin, LD would be very afraid of LCW. But if it's racquet to racquet and a net in between, then LD should be fine.
Well, if I am LD, I wouldn't be scared of anybody. If I am LCW, I wouldn't be scared of anybody too. If I am TF, I wouldn't be scared of anybody either. Simply because, as top pros, they might've reach their pinnacle already. Therefore, one's ''off'' day is another's ''on'' day. Nobody can win 'em all everytime they step on court.
