remember last year heard a lot about lcw that from 2010 onwards staying in no.1 will be very hard, now he grabbed 2 ss and also first time super dan back out.

..so it seem lcw is getting better now?

Datuk have delivered two back to back titles, but ...

He still need to add a couple of majors (at least 2) to his collection in order to be in the elite group amongst the legends.

Am not pouring cold water over Datuk's success, but the man still need to prove that he can do it at the highest level. The AE and WC this year will be crucial. Plus, LD will be there.

    ^^On his injury..^^

..LCW is a bit lucky this yr as he doesn't have to participate in the Thomas Cup Asia region qualifying event (M'sia as host country). Don't want to hear any news abt his leg/knee injury flaring up prior to the AE.
Thus, this 1+ month break should give LCW enough rest and prep time for the AE.

The fans here seems to put alot of care whether LCW could count as a legend by winning the majors.

I think we have passed that stage, LCW may not be able to win majors, but he is still one of the greats of his era. LD had won it all and he is the greatest of all time. We dont need LCW to be the greatest to let us enjoy his contribution to the game of Badminton and all Badminton fans have been enriched by his talents.

PG had only the AE way back in 1999, but no other majors, and fewer big titles can we view PG's stature any less than Hendrawan, Ji Xipeng, Chen Hong or Xia Xuanzhe? or about the same of HH and Gopi? Can we even think PG is less of a player than Peter Rasmussen?

here, i would say only p.gate and p.rasmussen are great players beside lcw and hendrawan.
for me i don't just look at their skills or winnings. i look at them as great sportsmen who can contribute more towards badminton - they are humble, they share their knowledge on the game and they give free video clips on their training (youtube), it's just amazing!

why they do that, one may ask? it's not for the money, it's for their love of badminton so again i would say the true greats of badminton players are those who can or are continuing their contributions to the development of badminton in one way or another!
c.c.h from china is also one of them!

    Now for Lin Dan's scalp!

    http://www.nst.com.my/Current_News/NST/articles/lwqjo2j_e2/Article/index_html

Chong Wei was the casualty in last year's final and if he is serious on rattling Lin Dan and giving himself a shot at the world title in Paris in August, then a win is a must in Birmingham.

    sound familiar
    hmm
wondering if will there a thread talking about malaysia chance in ae AGAIN later in march?:p

Back-to-back wins whet Chong Wei’s appetite for main meal
