this is ridiculus Search YouTube for Video from my phone, dragonstriker23 You should get it there Then someone please post the link here Thanks
Just missing 1 thing.. ..the killer jump smashes just like your baddy idol, Lin Dan (as you're also a southpaw)..
there is also a second video, If you search YouTube for video from my phone, dragonstriker23 there should be two badminton related videos. The longer one is the more movement related video.
So, by request, some things I see: at 0:45 you receive a fast drop, or sliced sticksmash or something of that nature. I can't see whether it's in or out. But that doesn't matter, what I see is you fall over backwards when trying to reach it. Even when receiving tough shots like this, you should keep your balance. At 1:08 you play a defensive shot to the net which is very good, your opponent can't kill it. Why don't you take a big step towards the net and intent to take the attack from that point on? On a general note I see you don't really take a lot of time in between rallies. Why not hold 5secs, get your head straight and take a small breather? That way, you stand ready a lot better for those short serves as well. Moving on, the next thing I see is 6:08. You play a very nice rally, moving each other about well. but then on your around the head you drop your shoulder quite a bit and drag you dropshot into the net. A good tip might be to focus on moving your rackethead forward instead of swinging it round, if you understand that vague explanation And lastly, I see quite a lot of drive-rallies, won't you gain a massive advantage by just stopping them to the net? I hope I don't sound too negative, they're all just minor pointers, overall I think the video is a lot better than your older video.
thanks jerby advice taken on board, I didn't play very well in that game though The reason there isn't much of a pause is that I was aware the video had to be under 10 mind for YouTube so had to hurry a bit
I've seen plenty of videos on youtube that were over 10 minutes. I'm watching one right now that is almost 24 minutes long.
at 5.40 it looks like you defend both shots with a forehand grip so your having to put a lot of effort in and as a result your un balancing yourself. Through the video it appears the same on most defensive backhand i may be wrong and it just be picture quality fooling me
Did/do you play on the trinidad national team ? if so do you know Kamasha? shes at my university now doing a postgrad degree and she plays/played on the national trinidad team until she came to the UK
