INA grabbed 3 titles in Austrian Challenge through Andre K.Tedjono, Fransisca Ratnasari and MD Viki Indra Okvana/Ardiansyah Putra who beat England pair Andrew Ellis/Dean George in marathon match, looking at the scoreline 21-17 ; 21-23 ; 28-26.
WD and XD title won by Japanese and Ukraine pair respectively. Congratz^^

WOW...the last match went to the wire in the second & rubber-set...21-23 and 28-26  Viki Indra Okvana/Ardiansyah Putra should have won the match in the second-set and much earlier in the third-set when they had 3 match pts at 20-17, and then 21-20, 22-21. But then, they had to save 4 match pts later on before sealing the match.

    Yep, she is!

It was an excellent tournament for Indonesia - 3 titles and one 3/4th place. Congrats!
Not so bad for Bulgaria too - 2 finals (WS ans XD). :)

Hehehe, those will be some expensive trips... but worth considering. ;) The other alternatives are the Australian GP and New Zealand GP for both Nana and Andre. But if those two GPs [close to INA] are full of INA National Team players, then it sort of make sense to not overcrowd the field. We want INA players to win both in the Oceania areas and the Pan-America areas... :) Let our red & white flags fly in as more far-away-continents! ;)

I think Bulgaria is very remarkable for a country that previously had no badminton history. Petya, Linda, Diana, and other ladies are competitive professionals. I hope the trend will continue after this generation of women too. :)

Note: the male Bulgarian badminton players are still way below world standard. :( Maybe they are dominating the neighbouring countries like Romania, Greece, Turkey, etc. Next target: compete well against France, Ukraine, Russia, Holland... After that: Denmark, Poland, Germany, and England... :)

I've been to Bulgaria. The air-quality in Sofia and the surrounding areas was excellent. I think I can play badminton for 2 extra hours there [compared to Indonesia's hot & humid environment]... :p

Yup, bright prospect to win title there:) From GP, up to GP Gold and jump to SS where the competitiveness is so stiff.

Our Austrian tournament is over, for us it was great because we had a lot of fun and are always happy when players from all over the world come to our tournament.

Here you can find a movie of the end of the men doubles final (10 min). For the IND fans in the end you can see the flag :)

    Have fun:
