Not really, Grande Prairie College has a badminton team which plays in the Alberta College Athletic Conference (ACAC) which is pretty good.

Cold Lake??? not sure, you might be stuck with a Sport Check or something... too bad.

    Maybe buy your own machine?

Lol. North Alberta -.- so not Calgary? Hmmm. I guess u can try Edmonton. Any specialized badminton store should be able to string. Search up google, if ur coming to Calgary then just go to "what's your racket and ski". Friendly place. Do not string any decent racket with sportcheck, most of their employees can't string and will probably string it wrong as to void ur warranty

I used to go to Sweet Spot in Edmonton. They were pretty decent although they specialized in tennis and squash.
