This is because all of their players have less than 50% chance to win with the exception of Jung Jae Sung/Lee Yong Dae, who has about 55-45 with Koo/Tan, 60-40 with Xu/Guo, 50-50 with Kido/Setiawan and 55-45 with Boe/Mogensen :)
I can't see their second doubles taking a point off China or Denmark, although they might upset Fuzzy and INA 2nd pair...
Their singles all have less than 45% chance to win against their respective opponents. Except for Park Sung Hwan against Taufik, its 50-50.

To sum it all up, their only strong players are Jung Jae Sung and Lee Yong Dae, so Korea, for me has to lowest chance to win compared to China, Indonesia, Denmark or Malaysia, although they can create an upset here and there.

Don't write out Korea just yet. I have a feeling they will come up with some surprise (they are good at that actually!). I am guessing they might split up LYD and JJS. They have handful of capable MD players and who knows what kind of perperation they are going through right now?

In MS, beside PSH, there is Wan Ho Shon who took LCW to 3 sets in AE, and remember they guy who knock out LD in EAG? I am sure there will be some surprise in MS too. China Single players are especially vulnerable to new faces.

However, I am still voting China as they are clearly the strongest. But I would make a prediction that Korea will be second (or third if they meet China in the Semi).

Du PengYu or Wang ZhengMing ?

 I thought LYB will play DPY instead of WZM. Besides DPY's BWF rank is higher than WZM's.

IMHO CY/FYF + CB/ZN combo is more dangerous than GZD/XC + CY/FYF combo and I think it is part of LYB's strategy to confuse his opponents.

Apart from early rounds, CL can be fielded against JP DEN or KOR.

Well, it may not be as easy as it seems as BCL & CY are still being bothered by injury.

KOR is always dangerous as its doubles can win 2 points against any teams plus some "surprises" from singles.

2010 Thomas Cup: CHN would surely win if Grandmaster Coach Tang Xianhu is there

    .
I wish to know if Grandmaster Coach Tang Xianhu would be coming to advise/inspire CHN team at this coming 2010 Thomas Cup.

If he is there, surely CHN could win without problems. ;););)

It seems that Korea is not solely just relying on their doubles this time as the experienced lee hyun ill is in the squad;)..he can spring more troubles to many other players..

China needs everyone they can call on to motivate its team. It is not easy against the host, Malaysia. :D

Woah! Lee Hyun-il is in the squad? He will play as MS # 3? I'm concerned about his match fitness as he has retired from the international circuit for almost 2 years already...

KOR may be thinking there is weakness in CHN MDs and hope to win both, then hope LHI at MS3 can beat BCL if CHN lineup is CJ, LD and BCL. Also, if LD plays MS2, KOR may hope PSH has hope beating CJ. This TC10 is full of twist and turns, still CHN favorite to win though.
I can't see CHN rest CJ and play LD, BCL and let the inexperienced WZM/DPY face LHI. As for match fitness, it affects LD and I would agree with you that may affect LHI. Time will tell, but good strategy though as without LHI, KOR may not have a chance at all. That LM planning all this again:D;)

I agree. We don't know for sure whether LHI has his top form on, he might be undergoing training a year before already when the decision to include in the squad was made known. It all depends on the circumstances of the time. One thing for sure, China is the most likeliest to win the event because they have such bloody strong female players!

i'm sure LHI is in decent form but not top form.
it's not easy to stay in top form, even for active circuit players.

For 3rd MS, it is possible for BCL to meet KJ (Denmark) and LHI (Korea). The main concern here is match fitness. I am not sure when was the last time both KJ and LHI played in competitive tourneys...

Experience, Skill & Been There (Staying at the Summit) is a huge advantage for KJ & LHI to play 3rd MS (& BCL). But I am not sure about yo-yo Hafiz. I support MAS, and hope Hafiz gets the win (& wind) over these veterans.:)
[Pardon my dialect. Wind means Hit Form]:)
