What I am trying to say is that when playing on home ground it is not necessary to have the best players, it is equally important to have the ingredients to make even mediocre players play above themselves because of the crowd support, working up fanaticism one might say. This tactic has worked very well in 2nd world war Japan when soldiers voluntarily committed Kamikaze for their country. This has happened before in Malaysia and Indonesia, the 1967 and 1992 and 1994 Finals are examples.
Some of you want to win at all costs, you might be getting your wish. Some of you like me just want the best team to win and to be able to witness great badminton instead of a slugging match like in cock-fighting with a lot of passion distraction and noise but not great badminton, more like the EPL.

I have to disagree on you on that one. At average level, they are behind KKK/TBH, CPS/LKW, Mak/TWK and Hoon/Ong, but at top form, they should be 2nd MD. Unfortunately, their top form is way too far from their average form and their bottom form is way too near their average. :p

Like that........CPS focus in XD. Find new partner for LKW....Mak? Mak was LKW's partner during junior days. Then TWK focus on XD also :D

Fuzzy pair now top form also is not 2nd MD

That's the problem. BAM still hoping for miracle by sending Fuzzy out to tournaments. In reality, if we send KKK/TBH and Fuzzy to SS, the only realistic chance is KKK/TBH. Fuzzy is just filler who is unfortunately preventing CPS/LKW, who has won their GP title already from moving ahead. :(

Their 'good' form did appear twice last year, despite getting beaten to a pulp in the Laos SEA games team event, they almost beat Kido/Setiawan in the individual event. Same with WC, they almost sapu CY/FHF in straight games. But, appearing twice a year is not good enough, not to mention there are almosts but they never win :D

When we talk about selecting the MAS team, I think their coaches make the decision

When we talk about selecting the MAS team, I think their coaches make the decision.

We BCers have our favourites, BAM management also have their favourites; but the final decision still come from the coaches.

This is only what I see.

If what you have implied is true......

    .
If what you have implied is true, then the players should resign first, not the coaches.

Only in Malaysia a below par performance can still earn one a slot in an important competition. Don't worry, we'll still be living as katak bawah tempurung for a LOOOOOONG time to come!

If what you people say is true, (which is likely since most of you are close to the BAM),

then BAM's priority may not be to win, but to host the event, and get everybody involved

and represented , truly 1 Malaysia.

If that is their choice , then there is no need to be partisan during the tournament, support your favorite player and may the best team win, just sit back and relax and enjoy the good badminton.

well, last night i've watched evening news at tv3... the news said that that there is possibility that fairuz and zakry have a disagreement among themselves... the reporters says that during the motivation camp in port dickson, both of them doesnt seems to be click with each other... somekind like hidden fight .. and yet again, zakry denies it to the reporters..

from my opinion, after all the coaches guidance to them, their performance by now shouldnt be below par... there is possibility that both of them have disagreement among themselves... if it's true, the coaches need to tackle this problem before tc... or else, it will bring a bigger problem to our squad...

I am not going to bet

    .
I am not going to bet. ;););)

It's up to all the parties involved (players, coaches, administrators) to decide what is best for the MAS team.

Zakry and Fairuzizuan having disagreement might contribute to their losing streak. But still, they are just not good enough.

After reading few times on the news why Fuzzy was selected, especially that they can beat Cai/Fu ???? what??? but then again.... I think I can guess why.... Not going to say anything but just trust the coaches and their strategy.

Reporters are there to speculate and sensationalise. I don't think you can read too much into this report. I entirely agree with the comments on team performance. Playing for a team event is very different to competitions.
