Hi everyone, I am considering purchasing badminton shoes with cushioning. My question is how snug should the shoes be to my feet? Should I be able to clench my feet and feel a tightness around them or should they have some breathing room? I know with most other shoe types, it's often best to be able to fit one finger between the heel and the shoe. Is the same true for badminton shoes? How much space are feet allowed to move around within the shoe? Thanks.

IMHO, I reckon the first bit, snug but yet you still can curl your toes but there is some tightness to it. The one finger rule, to me, does not apply as after some time, your shoes will stretch some bit so you end up with a longer/wider shoe. You should try to minimise movement of your feet within your shoe unless you love blisters :)

Be sure to wear your badminton socks when you try on the shoe for size.

    Justin.
