Lting, can you post the total count of participants? I think we are as big as the largest in the area given that bacbc is only a one day event. Kranti, the draw I already posted in a previous post. If anyone want to come say hi and for a chat, or even better to support my team, look for a tall skinny guy with glasses and "K Han" on his back.
Yes, spotted it. Thanks Kwun. I like the "K Han" part. Who is sponsor? Could you recommend me to get one?

I went to see the tournament. Oracle finally won! This time, they got the pairing right. Cisco is really good.
Congrats to the winners, how did the victor of the past few tournaments, eBay, do? How were the Crane shuttles?
thank you everybody who came and play and support all the 15 different teams. everyone agrees that the event was a total success and hats off to the 15 team representatives who made it possible. personally, i played one of the best match of my life. my partner and I played mixed doubles against the defending champion pair who are at least one if not 2 grades above us. we came into the match knowing that we are the underdog and got nothing to lose. we lifted our game and surprised ourselves and each other. i made shots that i didn't even know i can do. even after we were down 14-19 in the 3rd game, we came back and won 23-21 / 17-21 / 22-20. i don't think i will ever forget the match.
^^i can only imagine the reactions from your opponents..^^ ..was it the final and deciding match??..anyone recorded that match??.. ..now all the other teams will be gunning for your team/you & your partner in the next edition...
EBay lost to Oracle in the final 1:3. Cisco lost to Oracle in the semifinal 1:4 (they started the fifth game before other games were finished). Cisco beat Intel to win the third-place. When Cisco played against Oracle, Cisco was stronger in the Mixed double, and Oracle was better in one of the men's doubles. The other three matches were really close. Oracle was fortunate enough to win the three matches, especially on women's double. Cisco won the first set and led the second set by 12:4, 17:6 and 20:15, but eventually lost to Oracle. I dont know what shuttles they used during the semifinal and finals. The shuttles seem to be a little bit too fast: players complained and a lot of flick serves went out of bound.
Wow, you beat the EBay mixed doubles?! That is a great achievement. I went there late and missed this one. I did see you played in the final of B Group. Oracle beat EBay's mixed double because Oracle's female player was much better than EBay's female player. From what I saw yesterday, your partner was ok but not particular strong. That means you must have played a heck of game. Congratulations! If you have a video, it will be nice for us to watch. The male player of EBay's mixed double is really really good. I heard that he was a member of Vietnam's national team.
When a team came back from 15:20 to win the next 11 points IN A ROW, that's a lot more than fortune isn't it? Salute to the Oracle WD.
I heard Cisco was leading by 11:20, so it was an 11 straight points win. Either way, it was a great win for Oracle. There was no doubt Oracle, EBay, and Cisco all had very strong team. The tournament was very well run. Great jobs to the organizers. I connected with some old pals and made some new ones on that day. Looking forward to BACBC 2011.
yes we did. it was quite a coup for me personally. we played the right strategy by mainly hitting to the ebay's lady who actually is a good player but was a bit overworked by us. we tried pushing everything down and Luc didn't get more than a handful of chances to smash. my partner during the ebay match was different than the one in the final. she was a little bit weaker than my final partner and a lot weaker than the ebay girl but she really rose to the occasion. many times she nailed the shuttle right at Luc's head. she really played 150% that match and was instrumental to our win. i am so proud of her.
Congratulations Oracle. They held their nerve well, and closed out well to take the trophy home. The standard of play in the tournament was really high considering the participants are all non-badminton professionals. The tournament really had the feel and atmosphere like a Thomas/Uber cup environment.
