Has anybody has experience with this racket? The specs is similar to as far as I can see. Headheavy, slim shaft, aerodynamic frame. Well, perhaps no superwaves obviously.
i have been asking that for a while. guess it's not flashy enough for people here to try. i would give it a go if local stores carry it, as one of my favorite oldie is the explorer 5 which had been discontinued long ago save a remaining few that still exist in korea. lets hope this thread survives.
I used to own both the Explorer SP 68 and 88 but had sold them recently. I bought the rackets from Malaysia as the Singapore distributor did not bring in these models. These mid stiff rackets are relatively easy to play with and you could easily generate power from these rackets imho. The frame profiles are similar to the Yonex Arc10 and they are cheaper alternatives to the Arc10. The difference between the 68 and 88 is the head heaviness. I believe the Spira 21 is the replacement model for the Explorer SP 68/88 but I may be wrong.
i dont think sp21 will be replacing explorer series.... as the fact the sp21 is currently tag at top of the range in terms of retail value in TW... wanted to try out actually....
If I recall correctly the balance is similar but the SW35 is definitely stiffer and more demanding than the Explorer 88.
From your description EX88 is like SW36 lite. BTW, I am glad there is people like you who also giving a chance for the lesser known rackets. Cheers
my two cents is SW36 is head lighter than Explorer88. haha I took notice of this racket only because Korean WD player Lee Kyung Won was playing with it some time ago
