AJ Racket selling RM64 for Protech Platinum and RSL Supreme for RM61 Thx KKWM83. We'll inform you if we trying out RCL no. 1. But how does the postage going to charge if we buy from you?
HI, Sorry if I am going very slightly off topic... Well, 2 years ago, I bought Carlton AG Smash Shuttlecocks in Malaysia (red colour container)... However, cannot seem to find them online anywhere (thus cannot make any comparison with other shuttles) - all I see now is Carlton AG-10 and AG-30... If anyone has used these shuttlecocks before, or has them currently (AG SMASH), How do they compare with, let's say, Carlton AG-10? Popular Malaysia brand such as Sealion/RCL/Protech? Yonex? How much did they cost from where you bought them in Malaysia? (approximately) Were they at all top line Carlton birds, or not even? Thanks a lot... The Carltons (AG SMASH)I got were very good quality - very (I mean very) solid cork, very refined and solid feathers (durability included), and a nice "ping" sound when hit. Do Malaysia brands like Sealion and Protech seem as solid as Carlton birds (to those that have used the latter, preferably both)? Maybe I'm just too ignorant about shuttlecocks at the moment Have not really gone out to buy many... hehe
haven been able to try out any of the Carlton shuttle... but sooner or later might hv the chance... as will slowly stock in more Carlton products in future... at the moment its just rackets and grips etc... as for RCL, they dun realli giv u tat SOLID kinda feel as their cork is slightly softer compare to other major brands over here... however they do did a great job in their durability etc... RSL and Protech will giv u the SOLID feel u want as the cork is harder... however RSL nid to improve more on their durability as it is not stable all the time... sometimes Protech as well... this is wat most of my customers told me...
Thx for reply, kkwm83. Yes, actually I feel those Cartlon AG SMASH seem to have an EVEN HARDER cork than RSL... If anyone has tried these Carlton AG SMASH, pls give your comments. (I think I might have bought them at Jusco 2 years ago... but cannot remember price, that's why I ask you all... ) (Could not find them there last year... hmmm... )
Thanks, i perhaps should check out the Carlton AG Smash as well.. Btw, are you guys hard hitters? How many games does the shuttle can last?
If you can find it Hm.. I don't remember how long can last.. it's bin 2 yrs oledi I am certainly pure hard hitter, and the shuttle seemed quite durable.. Good luck.
Hey guys, I also noticed the drop in quality of Protech Masterpiece of late. Therefore i emailed them regarding this matter. But it seems that that Protech's company philosophy is ignorance is bliss.. They didn't even bother to reply. Anyway here is what i wrote in the email: "I've been using your masterpiece shuttle cocks for the past 2 years. I find them to be very good in terms of durability, flight and overall feel. I've even promoted the shuttle cocks to others. However of late, namely these past 2 months i found that the masterpiece shuttle cocks are really lacking in quality, they don't feel like that RM56 shuttles but that of RM30-RM45 bracket shuttles. The shuttles used to last at least 1 game now cant even last half a game. The shuttles also feel mushy, like if they were soaked in water. The flight of the shuttle is awful. I understand that some batches may not be as good as others, but I have used at least 12 tubes of the masterpiece shuttle cocks and found that they were all the same. Others also agree that Masterpiece shuttle cocks are not what they used to be ( just do a search online), and feels like your lower grade shuttle cocks Tournaments or Championships. " And here is protech's email leechin@protech-sports.com Maybe a complaint from one person just aint good enough?
Maybe its due to the season change in China... as shuttle made using summer's goose feather is not as durable as those during winter... this happened in any other brand as well... however those tat i used earlier tis yr failed to impress me as well... very unstable performance...
If they don bother then don buy from protech, tell us forumers that it sucks now and when sales is being hit, maybe they will reply
Can you guys enlighten me on what are the top models for these respective brands please. Apacs - Aeroflight 800? Protech - World Class? Fleet - Platinium? RSL - Supreme? RCL - De Best? Yang Yang - Diamond? Thanks.
can anybody tell me what price you all are buying? can anybody tell me what price you all are buying? rcl black gold - rm rcl black no.1 - rm rcl gold no.1 - rm rcl silver no.1 - rm rcl blue no.1 - rm thanks a lot!
any comment on rsl no.1 tourney? i always use this type of shuttlecock and i think it's durable.. about rcl, i've tried this shuttlecock in 1 tournamen that i'd played but i dont really like it.. for me it's too fast... (but i forgot which model of rcl shuttlecock)... anyway, i still like dunlop shuttlecock... but it's hard to find this brand at my place now... the last time i buy it was way back in the 90's... 1 shuttlecock for rm4... does this shuttlecock still exist now?
RSL Tourney No.1 is not that durable nowadays compare to those days, 1 game sure can throw away. But I still like the flight and the hitting feels... My partner buy RCL Gold No.1, price is RM2 higher than RSL Tourney No.1 but can last for about 1.5~2games, but the shuttlecock tends to go slower slower & slower and I don't like the hitting feels of it, hardly described the feels...
Actually for most of the shuttlecocks in the market, there are always different speeds for the same model. So if this speed is not suitable for you, you can choose faster or slower speed.
I mean RCL Gold No.1 even in the 1st game, the speed has reduce significantly, that's what trouble me. In the other hand RSL Tourney No.1 can hold up the speed quite good but the problem is it's not durable. IMO, both have something good but you just can't get both durability and feels in the same time for this price. If I not mistaken, my club will use "RCL Tournament" in the next week session, looking forward to try it and see how was the performance...
Oh well, I suppose it is impossible to get anything in perfect isnt it? Usually what we can do is to choose the best out of the amount we paid for. What I can say is I am pretty satisfy with RCL Titanium at the moment. However the problem of shuttle getting slow has already been told to RCL management and hopefully we will get a betta results in future.
