Denmark doesn't need Gade to beat Germany. They're saving Peter for later. In fact, they'd win even if they rested Jonassen too, and paired Jens Erikssen with Mattias Boe, and fielded Martin Lundgaard-Hansen as 3rd single... :D

    2 - 15.... my God.

Yes, he is showing that problem again - dropping his pace at the second set. He probably underestimated Sony's resolve and let down his guard. He did this in the 3rd set against Xia in WC2003...

    Please... calm him down, Misbun...

Oh my so much can happen in one shower.

Boonsak leading 12-2 in the second
    Sony won second set 15-2
    Lin 7-5 up in second
    Kenneth's won

    What happened to WCH?
Sony and Boonsak winning, who would've picked that?

nt good.. WCH looked tense in the 2nd game, hs he succumbed to pressure?? and loud boos each time WCH has the serve...

hopefully he picks up his game in the 3rd...

Interesting match KOR vs THA! Korea was probably relying on Lee Hyoun Il to win, but he lost first set and is now in 2-11 deficit...

Korea should win both doubles, but how about 2nd and 3rd singles? I don't know those players well enough to judge. It would be a big surprise if Thailand knocked Korea out at this stage!

Jonassen won Denmark the 1st single, as expected. I think it was 15-9, 15-11.

The issue of overruling was hardly discussed in IBF recently. In the European stage of T&U Cup (Presov, Slovakia, February) overruling was tested. It works like that:

line judge makes a call and umpire announces "overruled" and the line judge’s decision is changed. Umpires are told to use overruling only if the line judge is clearly wrong.

This was not officially included in the rules yet, but maybe (I don't know) they are using it in the T&U Cup final. If umpire during the Wong and Sony match used this, this means that overruling was really introduced.

It is controversial because umpires are also humans and line judges have usually a better view. From the other hand, umpires are professional whereas line judges not and they are local. Lets see what happens...

According to the situation from the previous final (Taufik vs Lee TS) as I remember it was umpire who should be overruled (possibly by the referee ;) ).

    regards

Yes. It's 17-16, 13-3 now, Polsana should be safe...

I'm looking at the live scoring on the official site.

You got that right! 12-15, 15-2 now against Wong! Is Wong really going to be able to bring it home? If not, it's goodbye for Malaysia.

And WHAT is Lin Dan doing? 15-9 over Sato in 1st set, now 10-12 in second!

Maybe so, but I have previously heard Danish players argue that you should always compeed with the best possible team..

Bugger Court 1 is showing doubles now, that can only mean Boonsak won.

    Lin 13-13
    WCH up 3-2

How damn out of form is Lee, losing to Boonsak, geez.
