The organizers specifically asked whether LCW, KKK-TBH want to participate. I was told, their response was: none of the MAS National Team players want to participate in celebrating Indonesian culture... And they really did so. None of the National Team player attended the welcome party.....

Sung Ji Hyun looks uncomfortable while Firda looks very confident with the costume.

Btw, Krisna, did you take those photos? Great shots!

    I don't think so. I've seen LCW & KKK/TBH wearing songkok.

    My friend took 'em..... :)

I don't know about Songkok... Was is part of celebratng INA culture? Certainly they clearly refuse this time around... despite our repeated pleas... They INSIST they don't want to take part in INA culture celebration. Well it is their right. Just not very friendly [in our opinion], but that's their choice.

    I know why..

so they dont want to join welc0ming party..
also from tv,msia claim batik is them, but just now UNESCO declared that batik is from indo..
    haha

    They might have other plans.

Note: Be warned NOT to bring up the issue of batik here. It has been brought up before and the members involved got BANNED.

This is very sensitive. Please don't bring up this one again. This might cause Malaysia - Indonesia war which I feel is pointless and plain...silly.

First, they might feel not welcome at Indonesia, as you said. Second, they might want to train and get prepared for the upcoming matches?
But certainly not very friendly, that's agreed.

The thread title reads "INA Open 2010 - Photos" so please lets drop the "batik" and "why didnt the MAS team show up" topics and move on to post some great photos of the event.

    Thank you.

Okay, last post about batik and why MAS team didn't show up.
It isn't really hot news in the TV...
and well, it doesn't look friendly at all, but who knows what is happening under the surface. We can speculate, but cannot really know the true reason. So oh well, let's drop this :)

Personally MAS Team players should just drop by and say hi or something. Most of them just arrive to the hotel from Airport when the event started. Anyway no comments. Only Rexy,Hendrawan was there and Coach Pang Cheh Chang attended the Welcoming Dinner.

In fact i know that Malaysian Players not really fond of attending Welcoming Dinners. Not only in INA, but other countries as well. Sometimes they would just drop by for a while and then leave. If i were the Team Leader of the event wether im Player or Official. I will MAKE SURE they attend.
This time BAM sent a super small contingent. Not an excuse not to attend though. Some stayed in other hotel.

Anyway there are other countries who came and not many players attended the Welcoming dinner. Too bad.. they missed the fun. I'm glad that INA and the great organizers from Djarum put alot of effort in making this event a success and i guess a first to have a "cultural" showcase and Photo Ops etc.. INA can only improve on it and hope other countries including Malaysia will learn from this. Too bad im not involved in BAM.. if not.. i will surely make it happen.
