Yonex new product voltric 70

I have a feeling that the high ends of voltric series will be just as head heavy or a notch more but lean towards the repulsiveness just to fill in the chart.

 

I don't know exact figures...everyone I have got has the words stiff on them though or are classified as stiff, even Z-slash, which is flexy IMO..

 

Agree with Z thing, However, I must point out (specially w 2Us) that they start stiff alright and as it wore on it becomes FLEX-ier or nowhere near NS9ks/x or NS9.9k. I thought NS8000 was super stiff at the time it was introduce but then NS9900 proves to be ultra stiff when it came out (comparing to YY rackets only imo.). Even NS9000x isn't as stiff as NS9900 I believe.

Man, I gotta admit that's a hawt looking piece of kit.

 

I find that the 8DX is also very stiff

 

It looks like a Victor racket. And the wider part of the frame looks like Fleet's.

 

Looking at the profile, it seems like there'll be a tighter string-bed @ the sweet spot, like tennis racquets, which makes some sense.

 

A more wicked and menacing version of the ARC8DX...

 

It seems very interesting. I have a hunch its impact on smash is not different from AT900T but the difference is the impact that the defending receiver gets from the VT70 amount of force generated.

 

Don't know if anyone's noticed yet, but the very top of the racket bulges out making it wider than the rest of the frame.....or it could just be wider at the 2 and 11 o'clock positions.....hard to tell from the picture exactly.

 

Wider where the single-pass grommets are. Makes sense, as DinkALot said before, more grommets, more holes = "weaker frame"? So they made the weaker part, stronger; I'm guessing.

 

Making it wider doesn't change the amount of material between the holes.

Maybe there's Titanium rods between the holes?

No wait, Titanium doesn't conduct electricity......

The frame looks like this Fleet racket, who copy who???

 

The fleet racket doesn't look similar to the Voltric's IMHO. Voltric is very pronounced.

I have the above racket & never noticed it was like that until now..

 

It looks like an evil version of the ARC8DX

I am very interested in this new series as this is the first new series in a long time! We will see if this will salvage some of the market share back from Victor, Li Ning etc.

 

May not look too similar, but the idea of frame enlargement is certainly there

 

this is my very first time heard of this "Fleet" brand! Which company is it? Japanese? Korean? Taiwanese?

 

Its a Taiwanese company. I heard its the same manufacturer as the Flypower. As you can see, the woven patern is the same with Flypower rackets.

 

I thought Fleet is also from Japan?
