HI Phandrew, Thanks for the reply, i read drinkalot's review but i would like to hear more reivew from other user of the Tantrum 200. So any one who has used this racket before pls........
FWIW, here are my quick impressions of the Tantrum 200 after a 2 hour session. My usual racquet is Yonex Arc Saber 8DX. This Tantrum is strung with RSL *something* (can't remember) - 0.66m @ 26lbs. Compared to my AS8DX, this is noticeably heavier, but just a by a little. I find the racquet incredibly stable, can generate good power during smashes, with clears and net play excellent. I got friends of mine used to lighter racquets to play with it and they all complained about the weight (my Tantrum 200 is 90g, although I have seen the specs elsewhere where it's supposed to be 86-88g - perhaps mine is 4U?). Since I was used to the AS8DX (which isn't very light itself), I didn't feel the difference too much. I like it very much indeed. If you're used to head-light racquets, though, you may not like this too much.
Wow direstraits.....a 1 year old + thread bring a life However, if K3ith still interested in reading a Tantrum 200 review, this my detail review of it that i posted a few month back : http://www.badmintoncentral.com/forums/showthread.php?86830-Apacs-Tantrum-200-analysis&highlight=
Tantrum 200 has been out of production for quite a while now. Apacscanada now stocks the new Tantrum 300, which I have not tried, so I cannot compare with my own Tantrum 200.
I've tried both the Apacs Tantrum 200 (bought here in Malaysia) and T300 (a friend of mine from singapore) and sincerely speaking ( no offense to those R&D guys at Apacs), after using T300 for half a year and i did a double blind racket test , regardless whatever technologies they said about the T300.....i don't find any signifficance differences to T200
I've been told that the Tantrum 200 and Tantrum 300 are practically identical - it was simply repackaged and sold in other countries outside of MY. I've had this told to me a couple of times from a couple of sellers while I was on the hunt for the Tantrum 300 here in MY.
