Yeah go Holland !?! The checzs(?) again :(

Banned for spitting :D you'd probably loose a whole bunch of players. Was watching german television and they showed Frei from switzerland spitting on Stevie Gerrard you just couldn't see the actual spit flying but you did see Stevie whiping it off from his neck so theres probably a lot more spitting going on then one might think.
There was also a discussion on dutch tv about this and a lot of former players agree that while it is dirty to spit the "could've-been-a-knee-braker" foul by Totti was far worse. They'd rather be spat on then have their carreer ended by a foul like that so it was surprising there was hardly any mention of that.

We can't say spitting on someone is a good thing because it is just plain discusting and should not be tolerated but at the same time the Italians as many as I have dealt with are a very passionate and fiery people who are emotional at the best of times irrespective of what they do.

As with most of the teams there is a lot to gain and even more to lose, temperament is the biggest problem in the modern game. Many tempers have boiled over this competition so far.

And as with many players their emotions get the better of them at times and they have good and bad days, every game is different it's what makes the chapionships exciting to watch!

I mean.. sure we could take that as a temperment.. and I do agree with you..
But I just find that Unsportsmanlike.. that was probably one of the stupidest thing for me to watch as a soccer fan... man...
Anyway.. as long as Denmark and Sweden tie, Italy is gone..
Hopefully I dont have to see Totti`s face anymore..

p.s : Totti acted violent in World Cup 2002 when Italy lost to S.Korea..
    Bad Temper man...

Of course he is that's why he is selected for the Italian national team, if he was that bad he would not be selected

Not quite true. What I heard is that they have to draw at least 2-2 for both of them to get through. Don't know what system they have thought of but it used to be so much simpler. Let's hope it happens for the sake of football  ;)

Common, football has never been gentleman sport. Spitting on oponents is just one of many dirty tactical weapons. But of course I do not like it... I remeber that our former player (I don't remember his name) from eighties commented it as very frequently used by english clubs in europian cups in the past. I agree that the knee-braker foul was 100 times worse. Totti should get far bigger penalty than just three matches stop.
