i lost 21-1 not long ago in Ukraine...well dont try to enter a tournament that starts day after your plain lands + shitty floor in the hall. but i got used to it on the first set and lost only 21-10
At least I've never heard of such a score.... Imagine what you can say at the end, when shaking the losers' hand : "welllllllllll, errrrrr, cough cough...." You can't even tell him "well done" as he even didn't manage to score ONE point..
Wow, 42 points without making one single mistake, and without your opponent, managing to score a single point. Quite simply the perfect game.
Did you checked the twitter account ? He posted somewhat like "I dunno if if should be proud or ashamed of this..."
yes, I saw that on his twitter account, should he be proud or ashamed ? I won a match in a tournament once, 21-0, it felt really good, but I felt a bit sorry for my opponent, and I got a few shaken heads from some on lookers, as I didn't give a single point to my opponent, but in a competitive game, why should I ?
Yup that is a kinda touchy subject... I guess some consider you may have give that poor boy at least ONE (we ain't talkin about 4-5 points eh), single point to him in order not to get him too sad or something.. Anyway the level is very wide in the tournaments in England if there can be such a level difference, right ?
It was a mistake by the tournament organizer, I was put in the wrong division (I was in D2, instead of the usualy D1) and it wasn't a very high standard tournament. So as you can see there was quite a difference in standard between me and my opponent. I got an apology from the tournament organizer at the end for putting me in the wrong division as I ended up winning D2 quite comfortably. And it's not England, look slightly further north
The first 21-0, 21-0 in International Championships using the NSS . AFAIK, the first 21-0, 21-0 at International Championships using the NSS occurred on Day 3 (April 17) at the 2008 Badminton Asia Championships held in Malaysia. In the Womens Doubles events, Shinta Mulia Sari/Lei Yao (Singapore) defeated Valeriya Efremova/Violetta Shtyrova (Turkmenistan) 21-0, 21-0 in 10 minutes. .
Damn I ever thought you were living in England, dunno why... Did you apologize or something for this poor D2 guy ??
Chris-ccc very good memory http://www.tournamentsoftware.com/s...59DD71-4109-4AA5-9AD9-B72BE53E20C0&player=234
Well it's not that far from England No I didn't apologize, he packed up his stuff and went home before I had a chance. (btw when I was D1 & D2 I mean it was division 1 and Division 2 and not Level D) in case you were wondering. Had I had the chance though, I would have went over to the guy and gave him some words of advice and encouragement.
Ok he was probably too sad to talk with you.... In this case I would have go to see the organizers and ask them why there is a such good guy compared to the usual level in this division.. Unfortunately in SS or other BWF sanctioned tourneys they can't do that
We should give credit the winners of the 21-0, 21-0 matches . But surely we should give credit the winners, than to discredit the losers in the 21-0, 21-0 matches. Yes, the losers have shown us that they were much lower in skill level, but the winners have shown us that they have won without making any error. Making no error in 42 rallies is not an easy task to achieve. .
me and by brother won a doubles match 21-0 and we are just about county standard but the other guys sucked :L lol but we have beaten some other players at our club 15-0 a phew times and they are a pretty close level to us (old scoring)
Never encounter this type of score before. Think it is going to be very hard to hit 21-0. Unless the level gap is really too wide. Since I always play with people of about the same level, so is never an issue. http://badmintonclip.blogspot.com/
