Actually it was a good gameplay from Chan. But i can see Lee is not quite serious or perhaps due to his age, felt a bit fatigue. Anyway, Lee's experience played a big role in today's match. Chan was too eager to finish off a rally. The crowd cheer hard for him unfortunately he lost. Anyway, this should be a good experience for this pahang open champion. He broke around 3 racket's string just now.
K.Yogendran stole the limelight from the crowd just now. There are quite a number of supporters cheering hard for him. i think its from NVBA.. his badminton academy new vision in PJ. the funny part is his skin is darker than the original Indian who hails from India, that is his opponent, Anand Pawar. KY had tried his best but just not enough weapon to beat the guy from India. YKB was guiding YK in his match just now.
If Tommy continues his upward trend, there's no reason not to believe that he can rise up to top 20 by end of the year! He's now at no 38 and if he progresses to the Main Draw again next week, he may creep up to top 30! He has fallen as much as to no 164, before slowly making up some grounds and is now probably ranked the highest in his career so far. The irony is, all these came after he left Pelatnas. Alamsyah also made a huge progress in 2010, from being ranked as low as no 194 in 2009 to now a giddy height of no 18! Right now, Alam's target should be to break into and stay inside the top 15???
Tommy sugiarto played a very good game i would say against that taiwanese guy.. that taiwanese guy really impress me a lot too.. he really make good full use of his height.. his smash is quite powerful though luckily tommy's quick play and change of pace gives him advantage in that game.
i saw this taiwanese guy against SDK in AG which SDK lost in the first round IMO his smash is impresive but others sectors he is so so player if i'm not mistaken,he is rank #1 now in taiwan(taiwan have their own ranking match held twice a year, use for team competition ex:AG,TUC,SC)
Yeah he is not unknown, he has won quite a few tournaments. And is top 50 or therebouts, (he is a lot better than any MAS backup player let's just put it that way)
this will be the second or third time that I will call for the firing of HHB. He is clearly not at the same level as the rest of the Chinese MD and XD players, and I am sure there are other chinese players who are not in the top squad, that could beat HHB. LYB bring back ZB, as off Korea PSS !
yes, and you have used the key phrase "at the time" he was a very good XD player. But you have to remember that at the height of his success he was partnered with IMO the best XD and WD player Yu Yang. At the moment there are better XD Males, notably Zhang Nan, Zheng Bo and Tao Jiaming all of which IMO are better than He Hanbin
yes but he's still young, he surelly deserve to be part of the team, more than LYB's son for example......... cool for the oldies Blair/Limpele, the grandpas are back haha
I will tell Robert the next time i see him that some people would consider him an 'older' player i dont think he would talk to me again though Anyway they arent too old (granted maybe Flandy is a bit old reletively speaking) but the combination works well and i can see them winning their first round game and they will have a good chance in the second round (a better chance than HHB and Tao will). Both Flandy and Robert are great XD players aswell remember (both are probably better XD players than MD players) but they play MD really well and work well together.
A lot better?pls check the result before making such statement..if i am not mistaken he has lost to chong wei feng a few times
I have watched him win tournaments and beat some of your back up players, so my statememnt is justified. Chong Wei Feng isnt a good player in terms of internationally, he hasnt won many (if any intl tournaments) maybe you want to check the results of Anand Pawar before you go making such statements. Anyway the state of Indian and Thai Badminton is in a better state than Bam... Or are you going to disagree with that aswell.
Those tournament that he has won mostly is international challenge and is not even in asia.he only won those in europe where not many strong players competing whereas our back up players never compete so pls don assume he is a lot better than our mas back up.but I do agree with u about bam state is much worse than the others.
