That is the weak point of lee chong Wei being not 'hard' enough on his opponent

A lesson I hope he will never let it happen again :D

Even if it's 3 years difference, any player should not be called old player but older player :)

Anyway, based on the poster post in other thread, you don't have to be confused :D

Taufik is his "kawan karib", so have to be considerate. I think he could have won 21-8, 21-8 and it won't look nice 'cos yesterday CL scored 9 & 9.

But he cannot think about his friend all the time. TH never give him any free points in the world championship last year so why should he bother giving free points to TH. What if he lost in front of all MAS fans in this tournament. It would have been a sucker punch from TH.

I saw live telecast and yes lcw show some 'for friend's sake' after 18-8.

In fact I was predicting that and exactly at 18, being human this will happen and it did happen.lol

The second set if lcw didn't slow down taufik would have, maybe get a few more points but definitely not 17:D

8 possible but highly unlikely as after lcw reached 18-8 was due to careless mistakes of taufik

and some shots he didn't or couldn't return.

So that probably brought taufik's 2nd wind back :D

Have to watch the video again to reconfirm :)

well, at 28 or 29 is considered old for men singles due to the high fitness and strength level required.
taufik is now pass his peak powers. he had won olympics and asian games when datuk was juz smelling his sweaty shirt.

LCW and TH are indeed very close friends

    .
I am sure TH knew what was happening. :):):)

If TH was sure that LCW has given him some 'free' points, then TH would return some 'free' points back to LCW.

Don't know if you know?: LCW and TH are indeed very close friends.

dis is so unprofessional and looks like match-fixing!
both these players are bringing the game into disrepute!
juz bcos they are ASEAN neighbors dat such behavior are allowed when boleh-fans here scream and rant over allegations dat Super Dan 'faked' his injury.

LCW was not in danger of losing today, can see Taufik huffing, puffing.
WC is different case,LCW would not give chance too if it's WC.

During WC10, LCW was injured (back). Even if he had won against TH, he may not progress further.

    LOL.
Turbo time at a VERY DANGEROUS TIME.
LCW should realize he is not that good to let people get back from 8-18 to 17-18.
Unless he can play like LD he should NEVER TRY THIS AT ALL.

LCW's form, at the mentioned match, was just too strong/good for TH

    .
Looks like you have missed this point: LCW's form, at the mentioned match, was just too strong/good for TH. When LCW released pressure (by shifting down a gear), TH would have known it. And TH was being grateful to LCW for not pressing too much pressure on him(TH).

Wait until one day when I catch up with them both of them to explain what they were thinking when they were playing in Game 2.
    ;););)

Congrats to DLCW for winning his 7th title... Was there in the stadium and the crowd really went crazy when both players entered. Really nice to see these two budding friends joking during the prize ceremony, again like last year, Taufik teasingly stood behind the winner podium... next will be Korea super series... hope these two will meet again.:D

    * free points or not, there's nothing unprofessional about it... TH is his best friend and I don't think even the crowd mind that... no boo-ing... cos we believe he will win... its just the matter of time before he hit the final point. ;)

I was waiting for you to come back from your 'banned' holidays and be a nicer guy

or you just love those holidays again?

Here in bc, try to post constructively otherwise you are making yourself look dumb,

Giving points should be fined and punished by bwf? lol

Giving your intelligence, I think you can do better than this:D

Yeah I know. I mean a WC match or OG match/majors is 'no give chance' category.
In normal one also, only cos Taufik is 'kawan karib', others no. Sometimes a bit give face to fellow Msians like uncle WCH, Hafiz

Even if he lost the second set (which is highly unlikely) he will win the 3rd set with more or less similar score as the 1st set... ^^ Btw that last sentence, haiya why bother... he definitely can win over LD and we've had discussions/debated over this... however, LCW is not the kind to concede walkover just cos some little injury... he too kesian his fans... we pay to watch him play... TH&LCW's great sportmanship and love for their fans are what separate them from the so-called great LD...
