My reply to both pralinescream and iceling.I suppose if LCW had skipped the Malaysian Open, 2011 he would stand a better chance of defending his Korean Open title.Reason being his opponents won't have the chance to gauge his level of play. He might have made some improvements to his game that his opponents are not aware of.Basically what I mean is the surprise factor. Its always good to keep any new weapons or improvements made to yourself till the important tournaments comes around rather then display them during the non major tournaments such as during the Malaysian Open.I believe this was what happened to LCW during the Asian Games 2010. He went all out in the Japan Open SS by beating Lin Dan in the final, after that Lin Dan and his coaches took down notes of all Lin Dan's mistakes in his defeat to LCW and rectified them. They also analyzed LCW's improvements to his game and came out with the tactic and strategies to neutralize LCW in the Asian Games. I think LCW should skip the less important tournaments especially those that are held right before the major tournaments.
I thought the Super Series Masters Final in Taiwan is considered 2010.There is another Super Series Masters Final in 2011.So I presume he would have played 1 tournament out of 14 right?...The MO is the first for him this year?...Correct me if I'm wrong.
like u,i am confused too because they didnt say if the ssmf 2010 is counted in the 2011 plan or not if no,then lcw will play 15 international tournament + 2 local tournament=17
I forgot to mention, LCW's priority should be the WC,Olympics and Asian Games. I think he should put more emphasis on these tournaments since he hasn't won them yet. I also assume since the 5 premier SS tournamens are compulsory plus minimum 4 Super Series tournaments, in total that would be 9 which includes this MO. Factoring in the World Championships that would be 10 tournaments.I am not sure which are the other 4 tournaments LCW plans to compete in.Any idea?
The problem is MO11 is his home tournament and KO11 is the richest tournament and one of the Premier SS. If given a choice it would be better for him to go straight to AE11.
i think he will go 10 ss,malaysia grand prix gold, macau grand prix gold, sudirman cup and the ssmf 2011 which made it 14 he cant afford it he need better training chen long is one of the good example and the most important,he arent this kind of player
the mas gp gold and macau gp gold is part of the contract obligation with yonex i believe seriusly i dont mind lcw win major or not,by the frequency he play in tournament, many will appreciate his sportmanship. if all top star always skip tournament, then badminton can close shop soon i like chen jin more the way he treat the match serious!
I think Taufik Hidayat will upset Lin Dan in the quarter finals of KO 2011. So LD and LCW won't meet anyways. TH is the more in form player plus I think TH looks more ambitious since 2010 and wants to recapture his best form in time for All England, the only title that eludes him. LCW should not worry too much about LD if you ask me. LD has won all major titles in badminton and is less motivated nowadays. LCW should worry more about not giving away too many points to his 'close-friends' in the future.
dont worry, she definitely WILL. imo WSX was too tired being in 4 finals within a month and as i watched over WS final of HK open again, i noticed that she was moving a bit slower than usual. but back at final superseries, i saw her back at her top form again. fresh and chasing the shuttle around the four corners of the court with her amazing footwork....

Reply !! Almost impossible unless he trains like Peter Gade. Peter Gade older then Uncle Wong but still able to beat Chen Long. This shows what type of a player Peter Gade is.The way I see it,most players thaty turn pro and leave their national associations are going downhill in their career because of the quality of the training. The exception being financial freedom.
