for me to generate power frm high tension is not jus hw strong the person can be, impt is how smooth the person can play cos everything play a part. a person can be very very strong but without as below he really can't tranfer maximum power.. here's my tinkin...
    1. Footwork (without it, can't do a best center gravity)
    2. Center gravity (without it, can't do a good weight tranfer)
    3. Weight tranfer (without it, can't do a good swing)
    4. Good swing (without it, can't do a maximum speed tranfer) Good swing= racket speed+ timing+ hw smooth the person can swing.
    5. Maximum speed tranfer (without it, NO POWER)
all the above mayb wrong cos all is jus n how i tink:p:p:D

Anyone know how the Zelm Ultimate Power compares to the victor superwaves 35 in terms of stiffness, power, control, balance point, and maneuverability?

    1) Stiffness : SW35 would be stiffer than Zelm.
    2) Power : SW35 has more raw power but is harder to generate power. Zelm is easier to generate power due to it being less stiff.
    3) Control : Find that zelm has more control and has more feedback when playing net shots.
    4) Balance Point : Cant help for I never understand how it works. Sgbad and Teoky can vouch for me. I go by feel.
    5) Maneuverability : Zelm would be better due to the head weight to shaft stiffness ratio.

I'm comparing based on 3U SW35 to 3U Zelm Ultimate. Go for the SW35 if you are an all out attacker but the Zelm if you play a more control game but need sting in your attack.

P.S. Don't go for the 2U zelm unless you can try it out for it is very sluggish, high raw power at the expense of maneuverability.

How would a 2u compare the sw35 or the scary powerful tc700?

The 2U Zelm would be too slow and would be a one hit wonder. TC700 would be heads above the 2U Zelm in terms of power and speed. Just that TC700 need some getting used to due to the stiffness of the shaft being even balance and small sweet spot.
TC700 offers higher raw power than SW35 in my opinion.

    Nope, that is a comparison between a 2U zelm to a 3U TC700. Haven't got the chance to ty out a 2U TC700.

Is the original pp9990 out of production already and replaced by ultimate?

Yes PP9990 is out of production unfortunately.

But it's coming close to that time when Zelm releases it's yearly new racket.

Seems that the pp9900 is still the one to beat and newer zelm models did not appears to supersede the original model? Based on evidence that many pp9900 Owners has not upgraded or switched yet.

Yes to be honest that is how I feel. The Trixon 8 was decent but for those that were strong enough, the PP9990 offered more.

The PP10000 was a wonderful defensive racket, but it didn't play like a 3U (almost like a 4U)

The Ultimate Power was offered in 3U and 2U with a more stylish paint job, and it was a little too solid, not forgiving enough.

To date, all the Zelm rackets were good, but in different ways. However the Zelm PP9990 still offered the best all-around play.

Hmm time to revisit the PP9990. But most probably would still prefer the Zelm ultimate. Any one looking for PP9990 in Singapore?

Wow, I didn't thought you love playing with the more contemporary racquets as well like the Zelms and Mizunos. So, which of the Zelms you think plays nearest (or plays much closer) to the TC700:cool:?

I guess your top 5 would be an assortments of Trinity, Zelm, Mizuno, Yonex and Carlton:)?
