I hope no one has asked this questions before...

I've recently bought a cab20 ms with a "UP" serial code, which I have never heard of before. Anyone know where this code belong to? Thanks!

    Cone serial code: 020932UP
    Shaft serial code: 4519003

As I know of, we now have "UP" code on MP100, MP77, Cab20MS, etc. I really wonder the original answer from Yonex factory (check RedDog's post), as "UP" is a mistake of "US & JP" can stand to its ground now...

The Cab20ms was manfactured on Sept 02, 2003, and the MP100 was manufactured on Sept 05, 2003. I doubt Yonex QA never found such a problem for 4 days, and in different manufacture lines.

It was a mistake by Yonex doing the "UP" code; however, you can also consider that, "this side is toward UP" when you are using the racquet :p

Or it could be a reminder for "keep your racquet up" during any rally.

    Up

Thanks for replies! Somehow UP didn't come up when i searched it, but had a faint recollection reading about it. Anyhow, here's a pic for those interested.

    G'day,

Plenty of Yonex UP rackets surfacing here in Oz. So far in my club alone I have come across AT700, AT800 OF, MP99, MP88, and a Cab20Muscle all with UP coding on it.

Hmmm, so UP is not only in US. Maybe "U" means universal now? :D
