412 or 421....title of youtube video says 412 "World Fastest Smasher Tan Boon Heong of Malaysia 412km/h"
the whole record thing is a joke, it all depends on how/when/where you measure the speed of the shuttle...
this is like the who knows how many umpteenth time a thread abt TBH's new smash record has been posted or created in BC..
z-slash definately better 23.22% more accuracy, 5.32% more power, 7.52% more agility, 8.65% more control and 9.32% more speed !
doesn't matter which one you use ... you must be better than your opponent in order to win ... Lin Dan can beat you with a wooden racket
Science (physics particularly) does not lie. 1. Distance = Distance travelled by the shuttle when it is smashed till it hits the next object (net, racket, opponent etc) 2. Time = Time taken by the shuttle when it is smashed till it hits the next object (net, racket, opponent etc) Factor 1 & 2 are variable from racket to racket. Of course, a bus is definitely slower than a sport car but formula used to compute the speed remains the same.
COngrats. Today at the Yonex All England Ben Yoneyama, President of Yonex, announced to the world's media that the 421km per hour speed achieved by Malaysian Tan Boon Heong has been officially entered into the Guinness Book of World Records as the fastest smash in history. http://www.badzine.info/index.php/n...minton-in-guinness-book-of-world-records.html
I still say that Fu's smash during the 2005 Sudirman Cup is still the fastest since it was done during a game situation while Tan did this under a different environment so to speak.
Totally agree with 1279568. There should be a standard measurement which include distance that the bird must travel
unless someone comes up with a equation which includes all factors(eg. friction of the shuttle in air), this test will not be able to be recognised by everyone. when it states maximum, i would say that, it would be more accurate to measure over a smaller distance, or the distance covered in the shortest time measureable. only then u can get a most accurate answer. since there is no globally accepted way of measuring shuttle speeds, comparisons between TBH and FHF's smash speeds are totally meaningless. i personally, i think TBH shud partner with somebody else...
Lining or Victor will have another version soon I guess. Competition is good. Who can match him? Hafiz hashim or LYD? lol.
what is the racket fu hai feng used during sudirman cup 2005 during that smash 332km/h?is it ti-10 2U or 3U?string BG65 or BG80? and tension is it 31lbs?just want to confirm...
