AJ/raquet zone puchong sold mx80 at rm600..and pertama kompleks sold it at rm640, both with string & grip. Cheaper is hock eng bangi, rm560 frame only. I dun see any price at rm800 so far..tag price is rm799.90 yes.
I oso use same grip...and it feel heavier. 94g is quite significant heavier than my other rackets. But i never weight their BP and dunno where it can be done actually
bro, wqow!! tat kid who smashed at u must be the potential record holder to be next for TBH... wat racket hr using? VT80? or NS9900?
I have a brand new MX80, 4U G5 (smaller) grip. Weighs exactly 85g unstrung. Strung with VS-850 (Black), 23lbs mains, 25lbs crosses. Still sealed. I'm willing to let go for £125. I bought it as a back up, but have decided to have a VT80 as my back up instead to mix things up a bit.
he use SPR22 and SW37 because we all play in Victor sponsored event and there are a lot of Victor rackets to demo / test drive maybe he also use MX80 and BS12 but it doesn't matter what racket he is using for me the smashes still feel the same ... very very very fast! he usually play for university tournament ... and he is one of the champion he also join clubs like SGS Bandung and PB Tangkas yes, he got extremely very powerful smashes surprises me too I thought 5 grams for grip and 4~5 grams for string
94g Net is a fairly light racket. All my Yonex have been over 100g Net. All of my current rackets sit between 94 - 98g In case you were wondering - Karakal PU Super - 14g cut to size Rkep 0.6 Overgrip - 6g cut to size Typical 0.68 string - 4g Factory Grip - 8g
Got the X80 and string it to 26lb...usually string at 30lb on SW35/36 as some of the guys here mentioned the feel will be of higher tension. Played with it, light racket... should have kept at 30lb. At this tension, SW35 or SW36 is still feel better racket. Will try to bump up the tension once the string is broken or loose it tension. Now trying to adapt to the softer tension as playing with high tension really hurt my elbow after the game. Will update again if I manage to break the string and re string.
Ask around in JB, bare racket at RM$550+...more expensive than singapore..so got a friend to get it from Singapore. It seemed that high end racket are cheaper in Singapore.
Finally got my MX80. This one is ID coded, the paintwork is good. Why only good? After seeing VT80 paintwork you can easily say other rackets paintwork will not be good enough. But it is much better than MX80 CN coded that I mentioned at earlier posts. Here are my rackets specs All are strung with Nanogy 95 except VT80 with Ashaway Zymax 62. All Original grips are still intact including the overwrap plastic and I put extra clear duct tape to protect the overwrap plastic. Grips are Toalson overgrip "ion Power grip - wet type" for all rackets All victor rackets are ID coded, VT 80 TW coded weight (S+T) = total weight with string and grip ..............Weight...weight(S+T)....Grip....Max Tensions.......My tensions...........Made In VT80..........3u............103g.........G5........20-27 lbs............H26 V24..............Japan MX80..........4u.............98g.........G2....H<=28 V<=26 lbs......H27 V25.......Developed by Victor Taiwan BS10 (#1)....3u............99g.........G2....H<=30 V<=28 lbs..........25................Taiwan BS10 (#2)....3u..........101g.........G2....H<=30 V<=28 lbs..........25................Taiwan Total weight for my BS10 #1 is 99g and BS10 #2 is 101g, I suspect that I put longer grip on the #2; MX80 is 98g. Just FYI, your credit card wieght is 5g I'm wondering is there any significant different when playing with 4u or 3u? Power? Speed? etc Why 4u max tension is lower? Is it because lighter so that it is less dense? Why MX80 says it is developed by Victor Taiwan instead of Made in Taiwan (on BS10)? Is it not made in Taiwan? Got the MX80 this morning, and don't think I will be playing today. Hopefully tomorrow.
Yeah, that's what the store owner told me over the phone. Why would he lie about his price range? Makes me wonder.. but it was a man tauke that was talking to me. I thought lady taukes usually charge more? haha Guess i'll just let the price stabilise. ..
no wonder lah he gave u the tag price...u should come to his shop and he (Jon Tauke) is willing to give the fair price as we all said here....
Updating with new racket (VT80 info). Each measurement is represented below. A (stem): From the bottom of the handle to the end of the inner head frame (bottom). B (string area): From the end of the inner head frame (bottom) to the end of the inner head frame (top). C (head): From the end of the inner head frame (bottom) to the top of the head frame. Here are my results. Yonex Arcsaber 8DX: A | 433mm B | 237mm C | 243mm Overall length of racket | 676mm Victor Brave Sword 10: A | 434mm B | 236mm C | 242mm Overall length of racket | 676mm Victor Meteor X80: A | 437mm B | 237mm C | 243mm Overall length of racket | 680mm Yonex Voltric 80: A | 429mm B | 240mm C | 246mm Overall length of racket | 675mm It's also important to note that the stringbed on the VT80 is wider than the other rackets by 2mm. 187mm vs 185mm of the others. So the actual string area on the VT80 (height and width) is slightly more than the others. On to balance points. 8DX + BG85 + Yonex Wave Grip = 297mm BP. BS10 + ZY67 + Yellow Super Grap = 295mm BP. MX80 + BG66UM White + Yellow Super Grap = 301mm BP. VT80 + BG66 Yellow + Yellow Super Grap = 313mm BP. Important to note, my MX80, BS10 and 8DX are 3U and the VT80 is 4U. Weight of the MX80 + BG66UM W + Y Super Grap is 91.6g, without the overgrip it's 89.2g (weight difference of 2.4g with grip). VT80 + BG66UM Y + Y Super Grap is 90.5g, without the overgrip it's 88.7g (weight difference of 1.8g with grip). Could be due to the slightly shorter handle.
My MX80 is a freak of nature lol. But one other member on these forums did confirm his MX80 is also longer than his other rackets. So whilst mine is unique, it's still not one of a kind
