Disappointed that the Bulls lose like that in the final stretch. Hope the Finals can be an exciting one. I don't believe in defense (to a certain extent) no matter how it is ingrained and drilled into the brains of athletes. So let's go Mav, show to the world that a great offense (from the Mavs) is the best defense against the Miami Heat's umbrella-la-la-la defense!
Haven't been watching the NBA for EONS - try 15 years - and I'm pretty clueless about who is who of the league now, except for a few names that I got to know from NBA 2K11. From what I can gather, my favourite team Chicago Bulls are back after years of really poor returns, lead by MVP Derrick Rose. How does he compare to the rest of the PGs? From the news I found out about the Celtics winning their first championship in like... 21 years? And Kevin Garnett is there - he's been playing for like... forever! This Rajon Rondo is supposed to be one of the best PGs in the league too heya? Can someone give me a one-two sentence summary on the following to get me re-oriented again? Miami Heat - Dwayne Wade, Chris Bosh and Lebron James are steamrolling their conference opponents. Lakers - are ruling the NBA. Kobe is god. Shaq has retired. Bulls - Derrick Rose Memphis(?) - Kevin Durant Oklahoma Thunders - where the heck did this team come from? Toronto Raptors - Andrea Bargniani, Calderon Washington Wizards - John Wall Celtics - Rondo is supposedly one of the best PGs in the game. I'm quite partial to guards - Stockton is one of my all time favourite players, apart from His Airness himself.
Celtics - Rondo is good but nowhere near Derrick Rose or Deron Williams' stature. He may have won a championship running the point with Kevin Garnett, Paul Pierce and Ray Allen but that's another story. Shaq retired but not before joining he Celtics for a final chance to collect a fifth ring...luck was not on the side of the aging Celtics. Washington Wizards - They used to be promising with Agent Zero in their fold (Gilbert Arenas) until he decided to bring in the guns to the locker room. It is John Wall's team now. Raptors - Used to be Chris Bosh's team until he bolted to join the Miami Thrice Bargniani and Calderon are good pieces though. Oklahoma Thunder - ...from Seattle Supersonics...no more Seattle basketball in the meantime. Kevin Durant runs the show there. Memphis - Marc Gasol, O.J. Mayo, Rudy Gay and the resurgent Zach Randolph's dismantled the Mighty but aging Spurs. Bulls - you bet, it's Derrick Rose's team. Lakers - probably Kobe is in his twilight years I like Blake Griffin from the L.A. Clippers and DeMarcus Cousins of the Sacramento Kings!
No haters, just that some guys' window is closing in on them fast...therefore, it's now or never! Obviously the Heat has still time on their side, lots!
At the rate they are going, I think they'll likely squeeze all the advertisement juices they can for both franchise, therefore, it shall be decided in Game 7. It could go either way.
