Good work Cooler. I wish I had received the same kind of response (or at least a response) from CBC when I last emailed them. I've emailed them twice regarding badminton on CBC and both times have received no response! But I guess it's understandable as they prolly receive so many emails every day.

But yes, besides badminton, CBC should definitely show some table tennis and I don't recall them ever showing that sport since I started watching from Atlanta '96. To add to that, Canadian table tennis is at a much higher level relatively compared to badminton on the international stage. I'm hoping for our sole MS and MD reps to advance through a couple rounds.

well, i sent my comment to olympics@cbc.ca, they solicited comments/feedback.

I don't know about men's table tennis but the ladies are doing quite well so far.

    Table Tennis

Petra CADA (CAN) in Women Singles (going round 2)

CADA/ROUSSY (CAN) in Women Doubles (going to round 3)

Don't know if it would help, being Canadian and forced to watch American channels as they offer more variety of sports in Olympics. :D

    Waste of Money

What a waste of money getting cable TV. I want to watch badminton! Out of the hunderds of channels that I have, around 15 of them show exactly the same coverage of the Olympics. Why the hell can't they have some badminton on one of them, and show other sports as well so that they are not showing the same thing.

From the Athens 2004 Canadian Viewers Guide I got in the mail, Badminton does air once during the entire Olympics in Canada (according to the guide anyways)

    August 19, 2004 7:00am-12:00pm CBC Channel 3

    canadian badminton coverage abysmal

Just wanted to say i am truly disappointed at the coverage, or lack thereof rather of badminton in the olympics by canadian t.v. I've been searching through our multitude of channels and day after day see nothing about badminton. Tis sad indeed considering we have close to 100 channels. I was wondering if anyone here would be recording it and making it available to the deprived ones here in N.America, specifically canada? thx in advance!

For the Thursday viewing, we don't know when it is between 7am and 12 pm? It's a bit of a stretch ... and I'm assuming it's eastern time. If it is, at least I can wake up. lol. Western time it'd be horrible.
