Park draws first blood. A smash followed by another annoying cry.

Boonsak made his name by unexpectedly beating Taufik in Asia Cup 2001 (held in S'pore). I clearly remember that match. He hit a lot of shuttles down the centre not giving Taufik anything to work with. Lee TS did something similar to Taufik in TC 2002.

Park 6-3 up now. Sony clears long. Park 7-3. Surprising, someone muted Park. He only clenches his fist now.

I spoke to soon, he roars into the lead, literally. 8-3

Park throws himself all over court, rescuing Sony's stinging smashes. Sony looks relieved. Sony serves 4-8

No I am watching. Great defence in this game. Park vs Boon would have been something. Saw Joko Suprianto on the sideline there, looked a bit worried.

Park loses brief rally on his serve.

Sony breathing heavily now. Joko Suprianto is on TV, he doesn't look to have aged a lot, how old is he now?

    13-13 all.

Decieves Park with push. 14 game point to Sony.

Smashes out wide on game point. 13-14 park

Sony takes it 15-13. Backhand drives it into Park's forehand corner, the reply from Park is crosscourt but it hits the net an inch below the tape.
