I thought Taufik didn't stand a chance and LCW was gonna meet LD in the semi-finals last year. How wrong I was, not only for LCW but also for LD whom I was even more sure of.

    Lcw !!!

Personally, for this World Championships I don't think the China players will want to screw up as this will be the same venue and atmosphere for next year's London Olympics which China takes very seriously so I expect them to be well prepared and that includes Lin Dan. Not going to be easy for LCW and I am sure he is aware of that. Hopefully LCW has prepared well and has the right strategies, tactics, fitness to overcome this huge challenge.

No, LCW had not gotten them right for every major tournaments in the past. Now, he has to figure it out more on his own, his preparations look better. That should be the decider.

Exactly. Except for the pressure which he had always cracked, up until this year's AE where he really showed his best at majors. He didn't show his best in last year's AE even though he won, that's for sure.

Who are your favourite players at the World Championships 2011?

    .
Something just popped up in my mind. This thread should be titled 'Who are your favourite players at the World Championships 2011', not 'Who will win Mens Singles title at the World Championships 2011'. :D:D:D
