Gotta go with my poll picks:
    - LCW over LD (battle royale; hope it doesn't disappoint)
    - FHF/CY over Ko/Yoo (Fu/Cai in imperious form)
    - WYH over CSC (will be tuck and go. CSC looks extremely confident)
    - YY/WXL over ZYL/TQ (wouldn't be surprised if it was the other way round; ask the boss)
    - Bankier/Adcock over ZN/ZYL (the upset special du jour)

because I know you guys love a bit of trivia, for the XD final: the last time these guys played a full match, Zhang/Zhao won 24-22 in the 3rd. Should be a great match, with home support, even Zhao Yunlei's cries might not be enough to secure victory this time.:)

It's great to see Imogen in great form. She struggled with injury, and that held her back a bit, but now she is injury free ((touch wood)) and let it continue please.

Gold all the way !!!!!!!!!!!! Go Go Go GO GO GO !!!!!:D

I bet only 2 golds for China - MD and WD. Cai Yun is just too good for the Korea pair.

    1. The way LD played today, he has no chance against LCW.
    2. XD - 49/51
    3. WS - Time for CSC to shine.

    :)

WD : BC poll says WXL/YY and I also think so but conspiracy theory may prove it differently.

WS : BC poll is wrong. This one I go for CSC because she just plays great when she is not expected to win.

XD : BC poll is wrong again. Confident must be very high for Adcock/Bankier and I think they can win it, especially since ZYL playing twice for so many days. This one despite my original BC poll vote of ZN/ZYL to win

MD : BC poll says FHF/CY. I think so too.

MS : BC poll says LCW. Based on current form should be LCW but LD is never to be underestimated. I still go for LD as with my original vote.

LCW need to have a solid performance. Both are in good condition. LD had 3 games of course. See if he can recover. Thanks to PG. ;)

I guess LCW just need to believe in himself that he is able to defeat Lin Dan with his skills. Hopefully he will gains more confidence after watching how PG manage to drag Lin Dan to play in the 3rd set.If PG can almost make an upset, I dont see why LCW cant do it:)

First time ever, the dream final of two best MS will happen in Word Champ arena...
Whatever the result is, hopefully we'll see high class match from LCW-LD :)
INA must satisfy with two bronzes as INA's best bet Towi/Liliyana eliminated by giant-killer Adcock/Bankier.

    let's hear some predictions....

    Women's Doubles

Wang Xiaoli / Yu Yang vs. Tian Qing / Zhao Yunlei : in terms of strength alone, WXL/YY are both more powerful and defense better than TQ/ZYL. furthermore ZYL will be playing a crucial XD match later on as well. i would not be surprised if this ends up a w/o

    Men's Singles

Lee Chong Wei vs. Lin Dan : no one can dispute that LCW is the hot favorite here. his form is excellent and i honest think that even the great LD won't be able to respond to it. it will be OG2008, but the role flipped around.

    Women's Singles

Cheng Shao Chieh vs. Wang Yihan : tough one. CSC is slow to settle but pretty good form once she gets into her rhythm. but at the same time WYH showed that she is back and kicking. the only part is how she will react to a non-chinese player.

    Men's Doubles

Cai Yun / Fu Haifeng vs. Ko Sung Hyun / Yoo Yeon Seung : Cai/Fu was very lethal yesterday. faster and trickier than any opponent Ko/Yoo has seen so far. i don't think the KOR pair can beat them.

    Mixed Doubles

Zhang Nan / Zhao Yunlei vs. Chris Adcock / Imogen Bankier : home crowd advantage to Chris and Imogen. but i think they will finallly find their meet. ZYL is very good at the net and ZN wont' be giving anybody any loose shots. personally i think this will be the most exciting match of the day.
