I was thinking the other day that we see lots of epic sport montages on TV for things like football (UEFA Champions League), Rugby Six Nations etc, but none really for Badminton. So I decided to make one. Hope you guys enjoy it! p.s. the voices in the beginning are Peter Gade and Chris Adcock.
Very well done. I love the aerial shot of Lin Dan and the big moments are well captured and clipped. Two things you might think about are a) having some shots done at speed to complement the slo-mo; and b) a shot of an elite junior practicing as the jump from outdoor to child beginner to court set-up is a little abrupt. Still, what do I know? I'm no expert. Mostly I just enjoyed it.
awesome badminton promotion video this is very well done.
hi kwun, if you didn't notice. I made a thread for this video like two threads down also, thanks for your stamp of approval!
ops.... merged. as i said. very very well done. the video is making the round in facebook now. expect a huge jump in views.
This is very nicely done. I just have one suggestion: I hope this doesn't sound silly. As a badminton fan, I very much enjoyed it. But I'm thinking of all the people out there who have never seen high level badminton--in your montage, you create the atmosphere and show us the personalities, but there isn't actually very much badminton! Just a couple more rallies would help a lot. Perhaps someone diving to defend a smash then getting up in time for the next shot: to non badminton players, such speed of movement looks very impressive.
well, the thought for the video was to really show the emotion behind the sport, because I think a lot of perception is that badminton is just a game, and it's not that serious. also, showing rallies didn't really fit into the music that much. but yeah, i know where you're coming from. Perhaps if I make another I will put some more rallies in, but I would say a montage reel filled with awesome rallies is more for people who are already fans of badminton and there are plenty of them on youtube already.
