Next up: Tine Baun against Kim Moon Hi of Korea. I hope Tine advances. Sooner or later she will be up against one of the Chinese (Wang Xin) and I'm hoping Tine will take her out. Makes the tournament more interesting!
Meanwhile, Mitani Minatsu (geez! that's a lot of M's! ) is comfortably leading Yao Xue of China, 5-3 in game 1... And good news for me: Tine leads 9-4 in game 1 already!
It's great to find HH doing his yoyo up . It's great to find HH doing his yoyo up (not down) this time. .
Meanwhile, LYD/HJE have built a 5-point cushion in game 2, and look like they will cruise into Round 2...
. Just as I have posted; Mitani Minatsu and Yao Xue (Q) (CHN) are having a 'ding-dong' battle at 20-all (in Game 1). And Yao Xue won; 22-20. I have to leave BadmintonCentral now. See you all later. I still believe that MM can win this match. .
Despite having many Chinese players entering this tournament, there is no China vs China in this first day of main round. In fact, only 1 India vs India and no other countries. But as it is getting closer to final, I expect to see more of all China matches so this round 1 maybe one of the interesting day of the competition.
