:D always usefull indeed to have a third pair in qualifying position as backup in case of serious injury. Obviously they are already good enough to be there on merit. WXL could very well have been injured already going in and tried to see if they could win in two sets. But after losing the first it meant another two sets to go was too much ...
Speculating is perfectly justified as long as LYB is in charge ;), after all he admitted orchestrating the 2004 OG SF.

I didn't quite say ban, but I wouldn't put him as an umpire in a final game, probably as a service judge. But I hope he did apologize to the Koreans. I have been in that situation before, and I have made a bad call, I went up to the player afterwards and apologized.

looked hopeful for JYJ at one point. but WSX won't say die.

JYJ on the other hand has started to look tired.

    21-16 first game.

nobody will ever know if its a mistake or on purpose but the fact that the bad call was made in a crucial stage of the game and he is siding the China team. makes the situation hard to believe its fair. That's why its good not to have an umpire from the same country for players.

    any tears this time?

even GC is saying are we going to have another pull out.

2 out of 3 chn-chn finals are a bit too much.

For one so slight, WSX is so strong.
Know little about Women's Singles, but still remember incredible shot at 2010 HK Open against Saina Nehwal when she hit a forehand crosscourt winner from the back of her court with her back to the net.
