for my case i use 2u racket for training and to strengthen my arm...then when competetion i used 3u racket..it feels great...my smash will be more powerful using 3u.. not too heavy and not too light

2U will be ideal for downward strokes i.e. smashing.

2u is heavier, so it would technically be better to smash

but ideally for smashing you should look at the balance point, a heavier head would be better at smashing then a balanced.

for example i feel that the 3u VT80 would smash faster than my 2u cab21sp

I believe that if that if you already used to the weight of the racket (3U head heavy for example), it shouldn't be a problem at all. It is just a personal preference

well......The weight itself doesnt matter much..(my opinion) but i prefer 3u. its more comfortable to me....but if you want a good smash try headheavy rackets

may be a silly point, but I was thinking a lighter racket may be better to trick your opponent as to where you're direction/pointing the smash at, and swithing mid-swing? (intermediate+ players)?
