I am running SP2 on my both computers, and it's been working OK. The thing is, SP2 makes some of your exising programs unstable, and you need to reinstall some of your programs to make them function properly.

SP2 is jus the improvement of security such as firewall anti-virus warning (if there's no anti-virus software installed or it's not running... etc etc) it doesn't come wif a anti-virus program itself.

all the comps at my house r runnin SP2... perfectly fine. but it does make the system run a bit slower... jus a bit...

I have been using it since day 1, and the biggest difference is that now, you have a built-in firewall.

    Hmm, SP2

I work with PDAs and active sync (a microsoft programme) gets blocked by the new firewall! With our inhouse security, it taakes a lot of effort to get it unblocked.

Those of you using Win XP Home / Pro with SP1 or SP2 or without SP1 / SP2 go to Http://www.blackviper.com . The man there has tutorials on how to speed up and boost the performance of windows XP and other windows OS.

    Highly reccomend his site.
